Hotel Haus am See Self Check-in

"The best feature is the location, next to the Lake with the lake view as advertised. The room is simple and clean, but crowed with a square hard wood table and two wood chairs, left little space for moving around in the room. We paid 5 Euro per person for checking in less than 2 hours earlier. And when we ask for the best way to go to Hallstatt, the Staff told us that there is a ferry stop next to the hotel, and told us that if you buy the ticket on the board, you pay cash, but he can sell the tickets to us with credit card, therefore, we bought 6 tickets of 14 Euro per person from him, but found that on the pier listed price is 12 euro per person. We also found later that this ferry is not the official ferry people normally use (4.5 Euro). We are okay to pay more for the convenience, however not very happy that the staff did not tell us that he charge more on the ticket, and the ferry is a tour boat. On the other hand, when I ask more information on hiking and season for next time, the staff simply said "don't know", made me feel not very welcomed."

"The hotel has no AC, if you are traveling by car there is not access to the hotel, nor is there parking on site. The only option is a public parking lot. They do provide a free shuttle service that picks you up every 30 minutes, however if the shuttle is full, you have to wait another 30 minutes, and if you arrive in the afternoon the shuttle leaves you two blocks from the hotel and you have to walk with your luggage."

"Everything was great. We enjoyed staying there and exploring the area. It was great having a kitchen. Location was great to explore Saltzkammergut region and the town of Bad Goisern is very cute. Only issue was that most of the tv channels didn’t work. Nothing available for streaming so we could not log in to our Netflix account. We weren’t sure if something was wrong with the TV. Otherwise great 😊"

We had the panoramic room, it isn’t a full panaramic view..so I feel the room is misrepresented..it should really just say “mountain view”..the word panaramic is mis leading…the staff seem not happy whatso ever ..and it says “free welcome drink” ..but we ended up with a tiny jam… Good stay but seems to be a bit of false advertising."

"Very friendly and helpful staff. Great room with amazing view. (Room 7). Very nice balcony. In the center of the village. Easy walking to everything. I would stay there again. Lovely very small coffee shop and café on ground floor. Great selection of high quality cakes. No TV in room but don't let that put you off. It's a very nice place to stay."
