Hotels in Dearington

"This would have been a pretty perfect stay except for a couple of things. I noticed that several areas needed some real cleaning. The workout room did not have any provision for wiping down the equipment, therefore it was smelly and not very appealing. Many public areas needed to be mopped. Lots of old spills had become dirty with traffic. Although there is nothing that the hotel can do, it is located on a busy highway, and the racing motorcycles were quite loud from 9-midnight. My room was very nice. My only complaint is the shower head. Those “water saving” heads only make it more difficult to rinse off. I spent 3 times as long in the shower as I normally do when I can just rinse off with a normal flow of water. But I will give you 10 stars on the hotel staff. Everyone, from check-in to check-out, to the cafe server, were absolutely wonderful. They were helpful, courteous, and friendly. And our cooked-to-order breakfast was exceptional. My expectations were totally exceeded! 😁 Real pancakes, perfectly cooked eggs, and wisely proportioned home fries were excellent! So I give HGI five stars despite the infractions. And I forgot to mention how conveniently close HGI is to the airport. So, I will be back and will probably make this my “home” when I visit Lynchburg. "
