"We stayed in the King Ensuite room and found it perfect for our needs. Had a bar fridge and jug in our room which was handy. Also handy having shower gel and shampoo and conditioner supplied. Bed was comfortable. TV with chromecast was a bonus to watch the Warriors and All Blacks games. And the location was very convenient for dining out, we wandered the town to explore the dining options every evening.

"Horizon by SkyCity is a wonderful hotel. The staff, from the front desk, housekeeping, porters and valet parking are incredible kind and so pleasant to interact with. The rooms are well appointed, and the bed is very comfortable. Shopping on Queens St. is close by; you can walk 6 minutes down the hill or, if you have a vehicle there are parking garages near Queens St. and Wellesley St. I would absolutely recommend this hotel. I was upgraded during check in. The staff are super friendly and helpful, I had an issue with my initial room which the staff sorted out quickly and put me in a different room that was delightful.
