Girls Weekend

Awesomely clean and convenient motel. Myself and 2 friends went for the weekend. I will definitely stay here again. Room clean, beach right across the street, free concert in the bandstand which we could see and hear from our sundeck. Clean pool, mini golf and ping pong table, all free and at the motel. Grills and tables free to use. Joanne at the front desk was great. 10 out of 10

Second year at Gold Crest for a week at the shore. This is a family friendly & relaxing place. The mini golf & table tennis are great when the kids aren't in the pool.The location is perfect! Directly across from centennial park where they have fun festivals & free concerts to enjoy during the evenings. Behind the park is the beach only a half block walk. The facilities & rooms are what you'd expect from a typical shore motel... dated & somewhat small in the rooms. A few minor upgrades would go a long way cosmetically. But if you're like my family, we only stayed in the room to sleep and were off adventuring at Water parks, the beach, amusement rides & boardwalk shopping only a 5 min drive. Walking distance to bike rentals and several playgrounds even a baseball field, tennis courts & basketball courts are just a few blocks away. The staff is awesome. Very friendly & attentive. If you're one who stays in the room more than venturing out then know that it is a standard motel with extra firm mattresses that may be a negative but they do have basic cable tv. Wifi was spotty so bring a hot spot if that's a deal breaker. Overall it's always a great week spent for family vacation.

I do not write reviews ever. This is the first time. But after putting out a $1100.00 for a three-night stay, I had to speak up. It may seam like a reasonable price, But I expect some comforts. The air conditioning was broken. Our room was at a constant 90 – 100 degrees for the entire stay. To sleep at night, we needed to prop open the door and sleep with one eye open. When I mentioned this at check out, I was told that they would have installed a new unit.???????? I WOULD THINK THIS WOULD BE PART OF THE PREPERATION OF THE ROOM BEFORE GUEST ARRIVE. Well then there is the issue of the broken light fixture in the bathroom. This light would go off and on randomly. I would guess it was a bad bulb, but it would come back on if the fixture was shaken. I second guess was that it was a loose wire. That is just what you want when you are soaking wet or brushing your teeth! The reviews state that the rooms are clean. Well, my feet were sticking to the carpet the minute I stepped into the room. My stomach is turning to say the least. I am soooo happy to get out of the nightmare and be home. Really Bad!!!!!!! Very un-safe safe and dirty!!!!!!!

Great rooms with lots of beds and space! Many activities and amenities. Close to the beach and within convenient walking distance of the boardwalk. Friendly service. Managers aren't always around and available to assist. Stairways and outdoor walkways might be hard to access for somebody who is disabled or who has trouble getting around.
