Fall 2025 Trip to Lake Seneca

Awesome place along Lake Seneca. Ate at Sapalta our first night-Great dinner, muffins in the morning. We stayed in Yurt #1, very cool, I might suggest an electric fireplace for the cold morning, just had a space heater.

A wonderful stay at Plum Point Lodge. My room was not big but it was clean and well appointed. Everything was in good order and the hotel overall is beautiful. Loved the vibe and the people were very friendly. Only issue was Hotels.com telling me i booked one room, and when i arrived, i was not able to get in. The front desk clerk told me 3rd party booking sites always send the wrong room number. So he helped me find the right room and all was good. Just a small wrinkle.

Had a wonderful relaxing visit. The front desk could of given a bit more information about the hotel when checking in, day restraurant was closed so we could of planned dinner better. Timing for coffee 7-10.

We stopped here for one night on our way home from Cape Cod. Very relaxing. We had a lake -view room so could see the lake while laying in bed. The grounds were lovely and we enjoyed talking with other guests on the patio. The pool looked very inviting and the staff were super friendly. I'd like to come back when we have more time and check out the waterfalls and wineries other guests were talking about.

This place was absolutely amazing! Small and quaint, staff was super friendly and accommodating. Relaxing atmosphere with the ability to relax in chairs on your patio. Fishing was fun right off the dock placed directly infront of the lodge! Looking forward to going back again!

Stayed in in one of the yurts, which was really fun--it was clean, comfortable and quiet. The property itself is the big draw here as it sits on a really pretty part of the lake with great views. They also have a couple fire pits, if you like that sort of thing.

My husband and I really enjoyed staying here for our anniversary getaway. The room was small but very nicely updated and comfortable. The balcony had gorgeous views of the lake. Our dinner at the restaurant, Sapalta, was absolutely delicious. The location was perfect for hitting all the local wineries and breweries and visiting Watkins Glen. We'll definitely be back!

Unusual place

Fun experience. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was a pleasant surprise, roomier than expected. The soap was fabulous looked locally sourced. The only drawback was it was extremely hot until we were able to get ceiling fan working (breaker was tripped) and even then it was warmer than I like. It would be fabulous in the spring and fall months. it is most pleasant to sit on the dock across the street. Take note the on site restaurant is not open Tuesday and Wednesday.

Plum Point has a beautiful vista, looking out onto Seneca Lake. Its location can't be beat. However... Our bed was small and saggy. Our pillows were flat and lumpy. Our bedspread was old and scary. Our sheets were cheap and ill fitted. Our room was musty and uncomfortable. It needs upgrading.

Beautiful setting!!! Clean room. Nice size room with love seat, another chair and the great deck with Adirondack seats on the 2nd floor. Comfortable mattress. Great band music on a Thursday night. Friendly staff. Too cold to use the pool for us. It’s not heated. Only complaint is we would have loved a weekday breakfast buffet. Continent breakfast choice of a muffin (little dry) and a yogurt parfait were not enough choices. So remember to bring your own food for breakfast or head out. Also no microwave in room but there was one in the vending room. I do, however, highly recommend this place. Very relaxing.
