The hotel is designed and run by the owners , a most beautiful welcoming stay. It feels like a home with coffee tea and cakes available throughout the day, sitting by the poolside enjoying a cup of tea was delightful. The room is tastefully furnished with all amenities to meet daily needs. Breakfast has a good spread of fresh olives , tomatoes , greens , cold cuts , breads and pastries and eggs cooked to order. Location is very good , near the museum and restaurants . Will stay again in Akanthus hotel if I return to Ephesus .

We had an excellent stay at this charming boutique hotel in Selcuk and we are glad we chose this hotel to base our visit to Ephesus and Pammukale. A wonderful breakfast buffet fueled our start every morning, and the complimentary coffee and cake was the perfect welcome back from our tours!! The staff were so nice and friendly and made excellent dining recommendations that we enjoyed very much. Absolutely recommend this hotel to any discerning traveler who is looking for a top notch experience.

If you are planning to visit the ruins at Ephesus, or the home of The Virgin Mary, you can’t go wrong with the Akanthus Hotel. We drove our rental car from Izmir, and easily found the hotel where we were warmly greeted by their wonderful staff. The room was first rate, and the proximity to the ruins makes visiting effortless. Breakfast was very nice, and the property has a cozy feel that made us want to stay longer and visit again in the future. We really enjoyed our time in Ephesus, and it was made even better by the staff and hotel at Akanthus.

An oasis

This hotel is a true oasis. Once inside you feel transported into a different world. The smell of jasmine, the beautiful pool, the lovely staff all make this a truly exceptional place to stay and relax. The manager, Soner, is possibly the most genuinely positive and friendly person I’ve ever met. If you are going to Selcuk then stay here.

An amazing place. Quiet but with plenty of life.

From the minute we went through the door our reaction was wow! It looks amazing and proved to be just that exactly. The staff were so kind and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast eggs were freshly cooked and the jasmine perfumed the air. A lovely experience and our best accommodation experience in Turkey. We stayed in 6 different hotels and this was our absolute favourite.

Walking through the gate into the property was like walking into a beautiful garden. The room was like a museum with family heirlooms framed on the walls between exquisite carpets. The ambiance and attention to detail cannot be overlooked. Such a treasure and pleasure from staff and owners. I felt like I was in a home away from home. ❤️

We loved this hotel! The owners were on site and very hands on and accommodating. The staff was delightful and super helpful with dining suggestions, reservations, etc. We also appreciated the owner/staff input on sights that were must-see places we might have missed otherwise. Breakfast buffet options were lovely and delicious! Pool and terrace areas were beautiful including lovely views. So many thoughtful and artistic touches in rooms and public areas with genuine artifacts artfully displayed throughout. Great and comfortable beds and great shower with nice sink and counter spaces. Excellent dining options and walkability, but in very quiet location. A real haven. Loved our stay!

A fantastic boutique retreat in Selçuk!

This boutique hotel was exactly what we needed after a long day of travel and sight seeing. What a pleasant surprise in so many ways! It was quiet during our visit at the end of peak season, which was nice. However even at max capacity we are certain the hospitality and care to be excellent. What was shown to us by Arda and the owners in every aspect of our short stay was unparalleled. We immediately felt like family. The breakfast was wonderful, the atmosphere calm and beautiful, and the comfort some of the best we’ve had on our extended European and Middle Eastern adventure. There is ample street parking and it felt very safe around the hotel. It’s a bummer it wasn’t a bit warmer so we could take a dip in the pool (it was open but a bit chilly when the sun went down) but we will gladly come back. Not a single complaint and can’t recommend more.
