Classic county ski lodge

This is my second stay here. It was an excellent experience. Clean and comfortable rooms with and excellent, well appointed common room/lobby with eating area, fireplace, game tables, TV and music area

Great place to stay and make friends! The owners are so kind, I really appreciated this lodge and what it has to offer the ski/snow community.

The bed was very comfortable, and the pillows were surprisingly good for this type of lodging. Although the room was quite small, it was comfortable enough for a 4 night stay.
Walter, 4-night trip

The inn was quiet, clean and comfortable and affordable . Best part it’s just a 2 minute drive to Killington gondola! There was a nice continental breakfast included in the common sitting area that had fresh fruit, homemade muffins, and quiche! Classic ski lodge inn
Sherilynne, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

This was such a cozy lodge! They provided a complimentary breakfast with plenty of pastries, bread, coffee, water, orange juice & cereal. It was super convenient that breakfast was ready by 6:30am, which was perfect timing for us to eat before hitting the slopes by 8am! This is a shared lodge, so there is a main room on the first floor with large tables & couches in front of a fireplace where you can lounge & mingle with others. Just a heads up, if you don't want to share a bathroom, make sure to reserve the "private bath" upon booking!
Sonyta, 2-night trip

This property is a ski lodge and once you understand that, its great! Its an older place that maximizes space for sleeping. Theres a large common area with lots of comfy seating, a piano and a huge fireplace. Breakfast was typical continental style, coffee was good and the hostess was interesting and informative. Our room was small as was the bathroom but it was totally adequate!

Thank you Audrey for the warm welcome!! It's a beautiful lodge with the river across the road and beautiful tree filled hillside. Audrey was so friendly to start a fire outside and visited with us. She made us feel right at home. It's very clean and homey. I recommend you stay here if you can it's well worth it!!

4/10 Fair

The place was unstaffed and felt miserably lonely. The lack of hot water and heating at night made it even more uncomfortable. After staying for 2 nights, I was relocated to a different place instead of being allowed to stay for another 2 nights as I had hoped.
Arkady, 4-night trip

Great relaxing weekend!

Chose to go to Vermont at the last minute with a friend, After getting frustrated trying to pick a place to stay I choose "The Turn of River Lodge:". It turned out to be a great choice! The lodging is centrally located, the atmosphere was great being able to share stories with other travelers and most of the people I met were return visitors from the skiing season!
Thomas, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

The property is just a 2 min drive from the Killington gondola. I rented a separate room. The room was clean and across the hall from the bathroom. A light continental breakfast was provided. There is a communal fridge and a microwave. Best part of lodge is community room with comfy seating and a large fireplace. There is a booknook area with a small library for quiet reading on the third floor. This is a no frills lodge with a great location and a fun atmosphere.
John, 3-night trip

Toilet did not work said prior to arrival they had this issue when arrived was put in same room with broken toilet and no hot water. Not acceptable
Darlene, 2-night trip

4/10 Fair

The lack of "hospitality" from the greeter was off-putting. Expecting much more, e.g. "cozy breakfast" was promised - then told that breakfast was "cereal, toast, and coffee". Third floor walk-up, no elevator. Steep stairs, small room, limited towels, soap, etc. Tiny stall shower. No cups for drinking, no facial tissues, Broken handles on the one dresser, tiny TV (not the HD TV promised). No heat control - too hot - then no screen in window. Generally a huge disappointment for a room of this price. We left at dawn after the first night. Looking for a refund!!
Douglas, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

Older accommodations, but a good deal for the price and the time of year. Stairs are steep and no elevator, which is mentioned in the description. Only saw the staff when we checked in, but our stay was good.
Lildiva, 2-night trip

This was perfect for a one night passing through stay. It’s a lodge, very basic, small rooms, but clean and quiet. Good price too.
Carol, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Everything was perfect except for the small room size.
Randolph, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

Rustic, simple, no frills ski lodge. Very friendly staff, solid breakfast and clean rooms. If you’re in town to ski, golf, or get out in the mountains, its a good option to save some dough and still be near everything.
