Dangerous Hazardous Unsanitary

After traveling all day I went to check in at HardRock hotel The Manager told me there was no Electricity but I could still stay! I said no electricity in the hotel could prove very dangerous and hazardous to my health The Manager agreed to refund my money for the 2 nights. And today I heard back from Hotels.com They will not be refunding my money

Fine-if that’s what you are shooting for

The hotel was fine — the bed was comfortable and the room was clean, but overall it wasn’t anything special. I was disappointed with the service, especially for a hotel in Mexico where we usually have great experiences. Room service coffee was cold every morning we ordered it (three days in a row), and it was the only option before 8am since the Starbucks didn’t open until then. The menu items weren’t available, and when I asked, I was told the menu had changed, but staff didn’t seem interested in explaining what was available instead. It just didn’t compare to the great experience we had at another hotel in Tequila during the same trip. Next time we're in Guadalajara, we’ll try a more authentic place.

The property is nice and clean. I loved all the music memorabilia everywhere. The restaurants were great. Bar and lobby, along with entrance was picturesque. Overall, the staff & hotel was good. My only complaint was that the elevators take too long. Our room was corner King bed suite with a great view of the city, however there were a few things that should have been fixed by maintenance (closet wouldn’t close, power outlet in bathroom didn’t work, curtains didn’t shut completely for darkness). The room gets a 3 star but the hotel is 4+
