One of our party is an insulin dependant diabetic who was unable to freeze some ice bricks for the car trip from Napier to Wellington. Also no breakfast on site. The hotel is only a few blocks from the city centre which was quite convenient.

Overall, I was very pleased with the property! It's basic, but clean, up-to-date, well-maintained and safe. My room was very spacious. The check-in is "remote" (the front desk is staffed for only a few hours each day), but the process was very simple - the hotel sent very clear instructions and provided a mobile # in case I ran into any problems (which I didn't). The property is close to a wide choice of restaurants and shops, about a 7 minute walk from the waterfront, and best of all (for me) ... about a 3 minute walk to the intercity bus stop. Highly recommended if you don't care about "luxury" and just want a safe, clean place to sleep.

Great place in central Napier, close to transport, variety of restaurants, supermarket, and beach. Only minor issue is that there is not a lot of sound proofing from outside noises so traffic noise does enter the room easily. But Napier is mostly a quiet town so this won't cause much of an issue for most of the night unless the street sweeper and rubbish truck comes by early which it did!.
