Upon checking in to the hotel on 21 August, I was told there were no Junior Suites available, but there was a ground floor recently renovated semi-suite, across the street from the hotel available. I said that I would have to see it first. It was a storefront that had been renovated for occupational rental. I went back to the front desk. I was furious. I let the front desk staff know that I booked and paid for a junior suite back in January, eight months ago. And because there is not a junior suite available, they would have to find me accommodation in the hotel, to my liking. A young man at the front desk, named Etienne, came to my rescue. He showed me a room in the older part of the hotel, that he offered me for my first two nights. And then a junior suite, might be available then. I told him that several months ago, I had sent an email to the hotel requesting being put in the newly renovated part of the hotel. The answer I was given then was that the hotel would try its best to fulfill my request, but could not guarantee it. Then Etienne showed me a newly renovated room on the 2nd floor that I could have for my first 2 nights. He then showed me a beautiful suite in the 3rd floor, and told me that he would do his best to make it available for me for the remainder of the 5 nights of my stay. He made it happen. And that suite was a pleasure to stay in. Everything else from then on in my stay was fabulous. The restaurant, Les Parisiens, was above and beyond my expectations.
