10/10 Exceptional

We made a late reservation, but the staff was helpful and the unit was clean and neat.
Sandi, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

No wifi, no cups, no microwave, no mattress protectors, no aircon, glasses dirty, no tea towels or dish washing liquid. Found the tea and coffee caddie in bathroom drawer. Carpet dirty, no extra blanket on request . Refused first room they offered and ended up with a room much worse. The walls and shower glass lots of scum marks and food - prawn legs and noodles on floor in toilet. This place needs to be avoided. DISGUSTING.
Maureen, 3-night trip

The room was not clean. There was hair and dirt on the bathtroom floor and surfaces were generally grubby. There were also other tenants yelling and using unsavory agressive language. Luckily it was just the 1 night otherwise we would not have stayed.

Cheap enough but...

As a one-night stay, I just needed a bed and shower. For a 3 star hotel (as listed on Hotels.com), it was rather run down. Toilet seat was only connected on one side so moved - despite having a nice paper seal to show it was cleaned, the cleaner didn't notice it nearly fell off. Bedside lampshade was in tatters and lamp didn't work. Beds were okay and kitchen was satisfactory. Apparently no on-site manager after hours so nobody to address kids running the verandah after 10pm or to address the loud argument in a downstairs room at 4am. Office didn't open until 9am so any assistance needed was not available apparently.
MARK, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Comfortable, but with some shortcomings

The person on reception was very apologetic about asking me if I had paid in full for my stay at the time of making an online booking through Expedia, but then went into too much detail about difficulties the motel had with bookings made through a third party (e.g. double booked rooms). However, she enquired what plans I had for the day, and even offered to arrange a lift to a place I wanted to visit. The room was equipped with a 'fridge, basic crockery, cutlery and glasses, and was very clean and comfortable. The receptionist pointed me in the right direction to reach it, but I was offered no assistance getting to it. On the morning of my departure, at 8 am, I almost missed a taxi I had booked as the reception was not yet open. What I understood to be the way out (the same way as I had entered on arrival) was locked and I had to find a longer way round to the front of the motel.

2/10 Poor

We booked a one bedroom unit because we had our grand-daughter with us, and we got a Studio Unit - 1 queen bed and 1 single bed. There was no staff available all weekend. The place looked nothing like the photos. We had people knocking on the windows at night! It was advertised that there would be a toaster - NO toaster! It was advertised that there would be daily housekeeping- NO housekeeping!! There were 3 of us and our unit had - 2 pillows, 2 mugs, NO glasses, 2 side plates, some cutlery and NOTHING else!! Couldn’t even have toast, or a bowl of cereal for breakfast. No tea, sugar, coffee sachets, Dishwashing liquid container was empty. For the money we paid for three nights - extremely poor value for money. Expedia should remove this property from their Expedia platform. It’s not even minimal standard.

Disastrous

Dont go there!
Kirsty, 2-night trip

Disgusting accommodation. By far the dirtiest place I’ve ever stayed. Very old run down and dirty.

It smelt like a P lab. Discusting, I would rather sleep in car.\ we did not stay!!

The propieters are only interested in milking the place for all it's worth, it should be a prime site but nothing is being spent on it
Jim, 1-night trip

4/10 Fair

Barely adequate, poor value

Very basic, no table, tv, shower curtain, crockery, cookware, rubbish bin
Richard, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

The room was not equipped properly. The kitchen did not have enough plates, cups, glasses or cutlery. Rooms were dusty and dirty. No light bulbs in the bedrooms. A blanket over the window. Rotten food left in the fridge. Dirty microwave. No staff around. No service in the time we were there and we had to ask for more of everything. Dirty shower. Will be seeking a refund. Will never stay here again
steve, 3-night trip

2/10 Poor

Room was clean. Unfortunately that was the only positive for this property. Only 1 bath towel each for my wife and I. No hand towels or face cloths. Kitchen was poorly stocked and no dish towels for drying. The parking was limited and not very secure. Very sketchy neighborhood.
James, 1-night trip

The best thing is the staff and the manager (Harry) who is dealing well with customers.customers.customers..
Firas, 3-night trip

Terrible stay

Not so good, room is not sound-proof, didnt sleep well because of noise from other rooms, there was no noise control, terrible to hear those loud music, loud voice fighting each other til midnight.

6/10 Good

The manager worked within his environment. The unit was tired & needed updating.
Phillip, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

Property was not suitable for use; it appeared as though it was mid-renovation, though there was no indication that work was ongoing.
Jon, 1-night trip

4/10 Fair

Felt uneasy about nearby clientele. Not unlike Rotorua and the temporary accommodation for homeless. Grounds a mess. Garden needed weeding.
Rosemary, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

Russell, 4-night trip

It is just run down and well worn out

Old and Tired but Clean

Older style of hotel in desperate need of renovations and repairs. We stayed in room 6, and although it was old it was clean the the shower was hot. Reception was friendly and it was well priced and everything was booked out for the Burt Munro festival.
Peter, 3-night trip

4/10 Fair

The shower was filthy, the toilet needs a coat of paint. The toilet has been replaced but the old wall fittings are there and are black with mould, the shower drips constantly and the window surround had mould growing on it.
Keith, 6-night trip

6/10 Good

Give it a miss

Pervading smell of stale cigarettes filled the room
Lindsay, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good
