Wonderful and Beyond

Our room with a pool and ocean view was wonderful! The view was amazing! Our bed was very comfortable! The food at this resort is delicious and beautifully plated. The breakfast buffet was wonderful and every dinner was delicious!

Explorar is really great, after 12 days couldn’t fault it. Staff are lovely and resort is amazing. Only suggestion would be that they should run the activities like yoga etc daily rather than weekly and they should run more shuttles to the market and chaweng.

Everything about the property was good. Joi/Nit from the front desk was so friendly and helpful. Always greeted with a smile. Garfield and Ing greeted us with a smile too during our daily bfast. It was lovely to be able to bring our drinks to the deck chairs as well. Only thing is that the mushroom/broccoli served was a little too salty. Room was taken care well by Joy/Nee. Would love to be back to stay in your property.

Beautiful view from the patio. Room was as expected. Breakfast options were excellent including mimosas. Restaurant prices were on the high side for meals and drinks. Gym facility was top notch with good working equipment. Only real complaint is not enough pool loungers. All the chairs are claimed by 9:00, but not being used despite the signs saying you can’t reserve them.

We stayed at the Explorar for the last leg of honeymoon trip and it was incredible. The staff go above and beyond and the hotel itself is stunning and the pool was amazing. There are a lot of complimentary activities throughout the week. You can visit lots of temples, elephants and waterfalls easily. The food has a nice variety but also nice restaurants nearby and in Fisherman's Village. Joey and his team at the bar made the best cocktails & drinks we had on our travels. They were so friendly and knowledgeable. We had the best time, thank you!

We had an amazing time at Explorar. We were a bit hesitant to book at the start given the unknown/name of the hotel, but we're so glad we ended up booking. It was nothing short of amazing, the room, facilities, pool, bar, food (special highlight to the Pad Thai and the wood fire pizzas), and the staff is definitely a highlight. We could name so many people here, Jor, Ticky, Sophia, they were just great! Definitely recommend for anyone looking at exploring Koh Samui.

Beautiful hotel and grounds, staff all amazing. The sun loungers always had towels on them but were never in use, there should be a better system whereby staff remove the towels if the sun loungers are not in use after a certain amount of time. Food all lovely, club sandwich was the best on the lunch menu at the pool bar. Cocktails are good quality at the pool bar with buy one get one free at 2pm to 3pm for Happy hour, the mojito was the best there. Breakfast in the mornings was also amazing, large choice of different foods and freshly made baked granola. Well worth a try, coffee made fresh to order also. It gets the full 5 stars from us, I'd return here again for a relaxing break.

It’s an impeccable property, very well kept, clean and in a quiet yet strategic area of the island. It’s close to fisherman's market, Chaweng and the pier where you can take the boat to various islands. The nice thing is that the hotel is close to everything without being in the middle of everything aka the madness of Chaweng. Another plus is the beach right in front of the hotel, which is the only one where you can swim the whole day without caring of the tides…something VERY rare in Ko Samui, trust me. I’ve seen high end hotels on the island being in front of a beach without chairs, umbrellas or even water in the sea because of the tides. In Mae Nam there are no parties, no vendors, no promoters…just you, the sand and the water.

1 week in Beachfront Pool Villa

Overall, the stay was a bit disappointing. We had booked a Beachfront Pool Villa. We arrived earlier than the check-in time, and had discussed airport transportation and early check-in with them days before, which they said wouldn't be a problem. When we arrived, we couldn't check-in and were asked to wait by the pool. They said they would come to get us, but no one showed up. We ended up going to the reception ourselves to find out that the room was ready; they just hadn't come down to inform us. The room we got was okay, but you could tell it wasn't the newest. The air conditioning broke down on the first night, so we slept very poorly and had to ask them to fix it the next day, which took a long time as it needed a new engine. Afterward, the air conditioning made a lot of noise, but there was nothing they could do about it. Their selection of soap and shampoo was very disappointing, and there was no conditioner, which one would expect at a 5-star resort. On the last day, we were offered a "shower room," but it was dirty and the air conditioning wasn't turned on, so we walked into a room that was 34 degrees celsius hot, with hair all over the shower. The staff are generally very nice, and their massages are okay. It's expensive compared to other places, but it's nice that it's easily accessible without having to go far for it. It was nice that it was so easy to rent a scooter through the hotel, which got getting around the island much easier.

Fantastisk ophold

Det hele startede med en varm velkomst på hotellet, som vi ikke glemmer! Værelset var også lige som det skulle være. God morgenmad og god service. Derudover havde de en god aftale med lejning af scootere, som vi benyttede os af, og som var meget nemt pga. samarbejdet med hotellet. Efter man har anmodet om en scooter var den klar 15 senere ude foran hotellet. Alt i alt anbefalsværdig hotel

Très bel hôtel calme

Très beau séjour dans ce très bel hôtel ! La piscine est immense et ça donne directement sur la plage . Le village est à 800 m à pieds à peu près . Le personnel est très gentil et serviable et tout est très propre . Un seul bémol, ne prenez pas le repas surf and turf proposé le mardi . C’est beaucoup trop cher pour ce que c’est !

Hotel muy bonito, con carencias

El hotel es muy bonito y limpio. Nuestro problema principal es que reservamos una habitación con piscina dentro de la habitación y en 3 noches de estancia no nos bañamos ningún día, debido a que el agua estaba muy fría, lo cual empeoró de forma notable nuestra estancia. El otro problema es la playa, ya que 2 de los 3 días no había playa, ya que la marea sube y te quedas sin poder bajar a la arena. El restaurante está rico, muy buenas sus pizzas. El desayuno muy completo. El personal muy amable y profesional.
