Great location. Very friendly and helpful staff Very lovely old building. Unfortunately sleek, minimal design lacked any kind of soft chair or furnishing in the room. The air conditioning was controlled at reception. User unfriendly. Despite requesting some warmth we froze. This was particularly bad our first night. The breakfast was good.

This hotel is stunning, and is one of the most unique hotels we have stayed at. The staff was always helpful and the rooms are very comfortable and clean! Breakfast was delicious and the location is really central in Old Town. Parking is difficult if you have a car, but still would say it’s worth it! Would absolutely recommend to anyone going to Chania and would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Beautiful historic building well-renovated. We loved our room with access to the roof and a private terrasse with bath tub. The breakfast was in the hotel restaurant and is just amazing! With your stay you get a complimentary access of 1h to the spa (inside pool with hamman). Very nice!

I don’t often write reviews, but I feel compelled to applaud Monastery Estate Venetian for the exceptional service I received during my stay. Their attention to detail and genuine care for guests stood out in so many moments—from the warm welcome drink and thoughtful local recommendations from the wonderful concierge team, to remembering my breakfast drink preference without me having to ask. They even wished me a happy birthday, without any mention from me that I’d be celebrating one during my trip. It’s thoughtful touches like these that truly set them apart from the other hotels I stayed at throughout my Greece and Turkey trip. Without a doubt, I’ll be staying here again when I return to Chania.

As you walk in the flooring is clear so you can see Ancient Greece. Really neat. Staff is very kind and accommodating. Room is clean. Great location. Little expensive in comparison to surrounding lodgings. Rooftop access was nice but doesn’t give view of harbor. Breakfast was very nice, scenic setting.

Uniquely beautiful property with large, modern rooms set just steps away from a lively vibrant food and shopping scene! The staff was very kind and accommodating- even coming to find us as we got turned around on arrival and storing our luggage for a majority of our departure date. Breakfast included was lovely and the day we had a conflict for an early activity they packed us a bagged alternative. We loved this place and we’re sad to leave!

Great hotel in old town Chania

The hotel was in a great location walking distance to many attractions, restaurants and shops. Though small the hotel was well appointed with an indoor pool, spa services and a great restaurant that served an amazing breakfast. My personal favorite was the Cretan breakfast for 2, the yogurt is the creamiest I've ever had. The room was comfortable and spacious and had everything you need. The best part of it all was the staff who went above and beyond providing recommendations and simply ensuring we had the absolute best stay. Huge shout out to Georgina and Maria who made our short time in Chania extra special.

The property is very charming and the staff are lovely, super friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable, unfortunately our room was above a busy street with bars and restaurants below and we stayed on Friday and Saturday night so be aware of this factor if you are a light sleeper. We loved the private plunge pool which you can book for an hour once per day during your stay. Its not heated but super refreshing after a hot day in Chania and you can warm up in the hot tub afterwards. The food was delicious, had amazing beef for dinner which was the nicest meal i had all week. Breakfast is also super tasty with pastries and eggs cooked to order from a la carte menu. We loved our visit to the Monastery Estate!
