This property offers old world charm in an old world neighborhood. The castle is a block away. The staff was super friendly and the dinner and breakfast meals were very good. If you can’t get parking on the street in front of the hotel, free parking is available at the harbor a block away. There is a loading/unloading area in front of the hotel.

Lovely location, right in the centre of castle rock, great view of the castle! Staff welcoming and friendly, great advice on nearby car parks, I would say our room, number 5, the beds were very springy and hard and pillows very hard too, in my opinion, other than that, good spot if needing somewhere to stay for a night.

Nice place, with some minor inconveniences: -window to outside would not close and had a gap, letting in a lot of street noise from the bar across the street -no air conditioning or even a fan...room was very stuffy -lots of flies in the room, maybe from the open window? -no hot water at sink -no suitable surfaces for managing toiletries But we knew this is an old building when we booked, so nothing that was a deal breaker.

Dobbins Inn Carrickfergus A definite place to stay

Our stay at the hotel was very enjoyable. The staff were very friendly. Having a pub and restaurant was also very handy as we ate there with friends and family and would certainly eat and stay there again. The place itself have a lovely ambiance and character 'the old meeting the new'. it is in the centre walking distance to the Castle and town centre.

Gave me a chance to see where my ancestors lived. Food was wonderful as well as the staff. We met people not only from Ireland but also Scotland. The firm bed was very comfortable. Everyone working there was very friendly and helpful. The included breakfast was very good and an additional plus.

Good local location, close to Castle, sea front & harbour Wasn’t expecting the free parking to actually be on road parking but only after certain times Room nice however room 15 was at front of hotel being above pub section (of hotel) which was noisey & then also with having pub opposite, when leaving in early hours of morning, keep us awake Breakfast was very nice & accommodating especially with the cooked food
