The property is neat and clean on the first day, but if you are staying more than one day, you have to stay in the dirty room with no housekeeping. No Bin, no iron, no table, no hair dryer, no microwave for the food; the photo on the website for breakfast is fake, and the view is not real apart from the lounge. 1947 old style TV, not internet is working; if you are paying $1000 for two nights, then its not worth while, host is nice, but amenities are below average.

A personal touch

This is a very warm and homely, B&B type experience. The hosts are very experienced and went out of their way to make us comfortable. The bedroom is designed to be fairly basic but comfortable sleeping space, however the large and inviting lounge area is very much part of their hospitality that guests are encouraged to use. The views and grounds are a real highlight of the property. This would suit people looking for a personal, B&B experience hosted by owner/occupiers. Thank you for your hospitality.

Great for visiting Penguin Parade

A great place to stay for a trip to Phillip Island. Swan Lake Guest House is walking distance to the Penguin Parade and a short drive to a lot of the other landmarks. We were warmly welcomed and our room was comfortable. Watching the wallabies from our balcony in the evening was a nice extra.

This is a beautiful house with multiple rooms. Owner is lovely. Very friendly. Penguins are a 1km walk, very close to nobbies lookout (water hole) Red Rock beach (Free BBQs), Smith's beach, go karts at the GP track. amaze'n'things, seal rock by boat the the jetty $85 cheaper for RACV member, pensioner discount and children. Take a trip to the chocolate factory in the way to Cowes Be sure to leave early as busy times roads are crazy.

Walking distance to penguin parade

Visiting Phillip Island to watch the Penguin parade. Location is within walking distance to attraction. Beautiful views. This is a guest house not a hotel. Individual rooms with their own bathrooms. The family lives in a house adjacent to the guest house. Friendly service. Restaurants and town are a few miles away on two lane country roads. The bedroom we had was large with its own sliding glass door to outside. There was outside sitting area. The lobby is on 2nd floor with beautiful views of the bay. The breakfast provided was good. Toast, cheese, warm croissants, condiments, fresh fruit (watermelon & grapes) coffee and juice served with a smile and friendly conversation. We visited in autumn, the off season. The room we were in could use an additional chair and table inside. We could hear the guest in the room above us moving around. The gate to the guest house is next to swan lake. The gate opened at 3. You drive a gravel driveway and park on grass in front of house. Overall a Plesant stay.
