Staff great on arrival and location is brill for Chester town centre. All public areas are really well looked after. Breakfast was good with hot buffet food although would have liked a little more choice of fruit not just peaches and grapefruit. Room was just what we needed overlooking the canal, quiet and clean. Our first visit to the Mill House and we would highly recommend. The room was good size and had all we needed. The staff were all very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was very good. We found the bar staff also helpful and prices fair. The only downside is that the bathroom needed a little attention, some seals on shower need replacing and some wear and tear visable, but to be expected. This would not put us off returning

We really enjoyed our stay. It was refreshing staying in an independently run hotel as we often stay at chain hotels. The staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming- nothing was too much trouble. The room was nice and the breakfast was really good. The pool and spa facilities were a really nice feature. The only niggle was that there was no air conditioning in the room. It was so warm, despite having a desk top fan, that we found it difficult to sleep. Overall, a great hotel at a reasonable price.

Great value for any stay in Chester. Just on the edge of the city so your are no more than a few minutes walk from the centre. Hotel has the benefit of parking spaces. Staff were excellent and so friendly. Ovall look of the hotel good but a few signs of aging. Spa nice enought and the addition of a buffet breakfast makes it a decent hotel.
