Full disclosure, we were refunded for this experience by the hotel manager who contacted us via email about our experience.
Cost was ~300$ for a double Queen basic room with the following conditions:
- soiled/ rotting paper towels, chewed up gum around the bed frames, dirty, warn and bunched up carpets.
- malfunctioning point of sale system at the front desk and broken hair dryer in the room.
- Insufficient amount of hygiene supplies for a double Queen room booked for 2 people.
- Poor customer service from majority of the front desk staff. (On their phones, unable to attend to issues based on number of staff available or simply throwing their hands up and blaming Expedia with no effort or willingness to resolve the issue)
We have a been on a cross-Canada road trip for a week. Every other place we have stayed has been cheaper, cleaner and much more accommodating with zero issues. For these reasons, I would not stay here again.
