10/10 Exceptional

The room was big and the king size bed was comfy. It’s a simple place to stay for a great price. Great for a visit to Hyannis.

A good place to sleep

Very centrally located, Hyannis Host is a great place to sleep for the night. Plenty of parking, clean rooms, near to everything. It only lacks a pool.

What I liked about this property was that it was on the road I could get on to return to Boston. It was a pretty good place to stay. Shopping and dining were very close by.

Nice, clean place to stay

The bed was a little hard for my liking, but this is a clean and well run motel. I would stay again, conveniently located not far from ferries.

I love this place! Clean, renovated rooms and an excellent location. This is a great hotel run by a great family! I only stay here! Book early because of high demand and repeat customers.

I liked that they had a keurig in the room. There is an ice machine and coffee machine in the office. The rooms could use more hooks for towels. If you’re on the first floor, you don’t have the railing to dry beach towels. The maid service could be better. She would come to our room late in the afternoon when we’re trying to get in the room. Maybe they are short staffed? But overall it was a good stay and I would stay again.
Laura, 6-night trip

8/10 Very good

It needs a bit of an upgrade as far as paint and accessories but it looked OK and the staff was really nice.

The room was clean and staff were friendly. The room was showing its age and there was a musky smell.

Great place for a one or two night visit to Hyannis, Cape Cod area. Old renovated small place with new young, hard working, lively owners on property. Clean, fresh paint, redone bathroom. Perfect for quick visit. Excellent price, especially if you are in town to attend a wedding event or other short term appointment. Near Hyannis airport. On Rte 132 Cape Cod Mall is walking as are many dining options and Trader Joe’s. Not a resort—excellent Value—CLEAN.

HORRIBLE. I left at 3am after a bug, think a bed bug crawled across my chest!!!

Price is right but housekeeping needs serious work

This is a low budget hotel, so I knew what I was booking. What I didn't expect was the heavy chemical odor in the room coming from the air conditioner. It was so strong that my buddy and I both woke up with sore throats. The bathroom door was stained brown in an odd area from the top of the door down and someone else's hair was in the shower. I would stay here again for the savings since it is a cheap place to sleep but the housekeeping could be seriously improved.

My overnight stay

It was ok. Not worth the almost $150 for the night. Summer rates though I get it. Definitely could use a retouch of paint in the room I stayed in. Smelled weird but i got used to it. Other than that it was a typical basic hotel room.

My Hyannis Stay

Although I had a problem with an odor. The manager came and took care of it immediately. The promptness to assuring that my stay was pleasant was awesome. The bed was comfy. I was pleased with my stay and if I come back again I will stay again. There are plenty of food options and shopping in the area.

2/10 Poor

Absolutely the worst!

I feel I was tricked! I read the reviews before we booked and most of the reviews were okay. I paid 200 bucks and as soon as I got there I knew it was a mistake! First the cigarette smell was nauseating. Even the plug in air freshener had quit. They had something fixed to the wall that looked like an alarm clock that would normally go on a nightstand, but it was off and out of reach ( see photos) creepy! There was literal feces on the wall in the bathroom, white substance on the shower curtain, clumps of brown sandy stuff in the shower. The walls were absolutely filthy clearly never cleaned with chipping paint. There were holes in the wall that were filled with dirt and dust by the ceiling. The bed was SO uncomfortable with NO boxspring mattress. The light in the room was a circular outdoor light affixed to the wall by the door. The room was extremely outdated and in dire need of repair and cleaning. It was evident that housekeeping was nonexistent. We were so uncomfortable that we slept with all of our clothes on and didn’t leave our bags open. I needed to get a soda from the soda machine and made my husband walk with me because it was so sketchy even outside the room. I looked to cancel immediately as soon as we saw the room but there was a “no cancellation policy”. This must be the only way this place makes money. I’ve stayed at some questionable places all over this country but THIS was very seriously the worst. Someone should have to approve these places to be on here.
This is the light for the room.
Nasty ceiling and wall corner in bathroom.
Feces on the wall in the bathroom
This is the creepy “alarm clock” on the wall that was up by the ceiling that nobody could reach and was not on?
