10/10 Exceptional

Staying at the Commodore greatly enhanced the special qualities of two senior people in love on their first road trip together. She's a hit with me, I'm a hit with her, and the Commodore was a hit for both of us.

Fun hotel in town

Great little hotel. Opted for the room with a private bathroom and it was really nice.

Love this small hotel

Love this hotel, the town and the great cafe downstairs. A great reminder to stay here often
Bonnie, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

We liked the stay, the room was spacious, the only thing was the street was noisy, other than that everything was fine.

This is such a cute little gem of a hotel. We had a lovely stay. Late check-in was very smooth and the amenities were well thought out. The location was great for us to walk the town. Parking was easy and convenient. We’ll definitely be back!

Low cost stay in the heart of Astoria. Dog friendly.
Trisha, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

The Commodore is a no frills, century old Astoria hotel that I assume was a historic fisherman’s dorm from the looks of it — the rooms are austere with only a sink
Nathaniel, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Nicely updated older property. I checked in after the staff had left for the day, so I didn't interact with any. Great Norwegian/Scandi restaurant downstairs. Would stay again.
Kevin, 1-night trip

4/10 Fair

Disappointed by the hotel in such a great city

A room like a cell with a 135cm bed, a television like a post stamp, a shared b toilet and shower, no reception. That's not what it's advertised on their website. I better had a regular motel.

Great location. Nice old town for a weekend getaway. Feels safe.

Very comfortable!

I stayed here 1 night and was really impressed with the room. I had a great sleep . Bed was very comfortable and the room was spacious, clean and cool. Highly recommend this as a place to stay.

2/10 Poor

Would never stay here again, no air conditioning
John, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Good overall. I liked the vibe, and the room was comfortable and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. Lack of parking, noise between rooms, and having to use the door keypad in the evening were not great. Still, would stay again.

The Gentleman that checked us in was friendly and helpful. Made us feel welcome

Great Stay but Dusty

The hotel after-hours service was fast and responsive. Our only complaint was the cleanliness of the common area floors and stairwells which were very dusty. Someone actually wrote “clean me” in the dust on the stairwell.
Matthew, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Great location and charming in it’s own way.

Weirdly brief check in time - (3- 5pm) and slightly worse for wear compared to the last time I visited maybe 10 years ago when it was a newly outfitted Ace hotel knockoff, but overall fine for the price despite having old chocolates from some previous tenant left in the bedside drawers. Nice little DVD / game collection in the lobby. Great location and charming in it’s own way. Broder is a good restaurant in my experience but didn’t visit this time, so I have no idea if it’s up to standard anymore. No front desk past check in, so It’s essentially an adult hostel I guess...
Paul, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Despite some reviews complaining of noise, we had no problems and didn't even use the provided earlier plugs. The room was bigger than we expected, bed was comfy and we appreciated having a refrigerator and microwave oven.
Skylar, 2-night trip

2/10 Poor

Crappy hotel

There were public restrooms and showers.. the bed was very uncomfortable.. no one at the desk.. I miss customer service the way when I was growing up!
