10/10 Exceptional

Great place. Excellent room and shower.
KARYN, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

Very disappointing. Room had a horrible smell, the shower didnt drain, so had to limit showers so that it didnt flood the bathroom. The towels were damp, we had no toilet paper. Would definitely look at other options next time.

Fab local hotel

Love the locality of this hotel the friendliness of the staff and the ease at which you can have all you need home from home
samantha, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Perfect location for access to the Railway station. Rooms could do with some TLC. The price i paid for this hotel was extreme considering the condition of the room.
Joseph, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Although a booking error with the hotel, giving myself and my finance a single room, they happily had an apartment free which added to our special occasion. The breakfast was freshly served with lots of choices available
Robert, 3-night trip

2/10 Poor

Bitten by bed bugs
Shivami, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Great location from train station and close to city center.
Karey, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

The location was as convenient as it could possibly be - a half block from the train station, a block from a great ceilidh bar, three blocks from the best restaurant in Inverness, etc. The WiFi was something of an issue - it was not available in the room, only in the lobby/dining room area, and slow even there.

Overpriced

The stay was below average. No teaspoon to stir hot beverages. Toilet seat was loose and the wrong type. No soap available for the bathroom. Nighttime noise was audible from the streets despite being at the back of the hotel and windows closed.
MR Gar, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

I don't know what kind of sh!t show they're running here. Strange stains in the walls, stains in the blankets, underwear left in the closet, the most hideous smell everywhere, no toiletries. Please, do yourself a favor and DO NOT stay here. Staff was friendly though.

Great for a city-centre stay

Located in the heart of Inverness, a short distance from the river, it is a great spot for those seeking a city break with every amenity close at hand. Parking is best at the 24-hour multi-storey on Old Rose Street (£9 for 24 hours, £8 for every 24 after that - and less if your stay is shorter). It’s a five-minute walk to Union Street and the guest house. A flight of stairs takes you to the reception and a very warm and friendly welcome. Rooms are basic, the furnishings a little tired, but they present very well. The downside is for the noise of the gulls outside. They squawked in unison most of the night - but of course that isn’t the fault of the guest house. Breakfast is included, and it consists of a choice of cereals, yoghurt, crumpets, pains au chocolat, brioche, bread for toasting, jams, a choice of tea, coffee and fruit juices. For the purpose of our visit, the Waverley was very good and I would stay here again - but bring earplugs to counter the birds!
Graham, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

Decent for the price room, no frills and with not much extra space, but enough for my needs and well located.
REUVEN, 1-night trip

Bathroom was clean but very tiny. Staff was very nice and helpful.

Nice for the price.

Arrived late in tge evening. Made a phone call and got easy access to my room. Room was comfortable and clean. Hotel was quiet and git a good nights rest. Breakfast was plenty and good.

10/10 Exceptional

Rooms are of decent size with big washrooms. cleanliness was maintained and the staff was super supportive and friendly. also, it is located very new to the railways station and bus station, so it was very convenient.

6/10 Good

Ideal for young people and couples; economical solution in the center of Inverness with Pub's and Restaurant's arround; close by the river and not so far to walk true the sea. coach station in front; close to visit Loch Ness and the Highlands

Horrific

Mold all over bathroom ceiling, used cups, shower covered in dirt and hair tbh it looked like the cleaner came in made the bed and left after the last guest 🙃
Sara, 1-night trip

Worst hotel I've ever stayed in

So where do i start, when we got to our room it stank of cigarettes, noticed there was a sock over the smoke detector, to stop it going off, there was a fist sized hole in the front of the wardrobe, we didnt stay for breakfast, because we were worried we might get ill, very very dissapointed, it looked more like a refugee hotel, than a £75 a night hotel, on the web page it said parking, there was none, a pay carpark half a mile away was the nearest, i would never recommend this hotel it was awful
J A, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Very basic accommodation

Arrived to find no toilet roll, no heating, no working tv, 2 wee milks to do 2 night and no shower gel. Felt more like a hostel. Breakfast cheap of the cheap
Niall, 2-night trip

If you are coming on the weekend consider being bothered by loud music till late at night (Friday and Saturday).
Debora, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

Great value. Did exactly what it needed to do.

Look for the price (£30 night) and nature of the trip (with friends over the weekend for football match in Dingwall) I have no problems in recommending this guest house. 100 yards from railway station, right in the middle of town. However, I wouldn't recommend for family or couples

Unhappy Highlander

Facilities in general are poor for the money, being on the downward side of basic. In the city centre. No parking. Frugal continental breakfast. Only just bearable for an overnight, but certainly not for a prolonged stay.
