Brilliant stay as always

Room was clean as were the corridors. The earing area is lovely and presentable and the breakfast is amazing. I would reccomend paying for breakfast at the hotel as its £13 to book on hotels or its £7 if you book it at the hotel. Only downside is the internet connection can be a bit iffy

Staff were friendly and very helpful, polite and courteous at all times.

Really great value, good friendly staff

Really good comfortable room, although room is above the pub, I had no noise at all. Breakfast was £7 and worth it, food was cooked fresh and coffee is brewed to order. Will be rebooking here for sure:)

My interaction with staff was fine and a lovely lady called me a cab. The room was very drab with a broken window. The bed was comfy and warm room. It was fine just rather run down.

Had bed bugs. I found put after as i had lots of marks and it was very itchy. Notified the hotel through hotels.com but never heard back from anyone.

Room was small but fine. Bed was comfy but little amenities, no hairdryer and limited tea and coffee. Staff lovely and breakfast was really good

Clean and comfortable!

Cheap and cheerful. For 1 night, clean and comfortable room, and although above a pub it was quiet. Great price, just what we needed a 1 night stay.

Had a good stay. Well worth the money. Clean and very friendly
Karen, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Good value but needs redecorating

The pub/hotel was very dated and in need of new carpets and furniture throughout apart from the cellar room where breakfast was served. This room and the breakfast itself were very good and redeemed the overall impression of the stay. It was overall very good value, cheap for a city hotel with free parking and excellent breakfast included.
Andrew, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

This was a truly unacceptable stay. Security was nonexistent, as the main room door, bathroom door, and window all failed to shut or lock properly. Furthermore, the parking lot was hazardous, covered in smashed glass. The level of filth throughout the property was shocking. The carpets were uncleaned, and the wardrobe had disgusting, dried streaks that looked like uncleaned sick. The shower head was completely black with grime, and what appeared to be black mold marks were visible on the curtains and all public banisters. Functionality was equally poor. The TV and WiFi didn't work, and the room was lit by only a single light source on the ceiling. Overall, the entire property was profoundly unclean and had an unpleasant smell. This establishment is in severe need of deep cleaning, maintenance, and basic safety inspections. I cannot recommend it.

4/10 Fair

I found my experience at this hotel to be somewhat of a shock. To start the pictures provided by Hotel.com are false advertisment and dont effectively reflect the condition of this hotel. My door had scratches around the key card lock and evidence to suggest attempted break ins. Supporting this the door didnt lock unless with a very stern pull on the door. The carpets have stains all over and ripped up under the bed, the shower was dirty (had to clean myself), bathroom tiles were loose, furniture was dirty/stained, curtains were old/stained, lighting is dim as the only light available it by a bedside light and desk lamp. Overall one of the worst rooms I have stayed in. Lastly I understood this was situated over a pub but didnt expect to have to fight through drunk crowds to access my room in the evening. As well as this breakfast is offered but not served and no oppurtunity was provided and the seating and furniture is that of a well used and dated pub not somewhere that accomdates a breakfast service.
