BEWARE you will be charged additional taxes upon arrival. Not listed on Hotels.Com or I missed the fine print. Area is central to most activities in Amsterdam. Room was nice, downstairs bar and restaurant good, view was excellent. Be ready to be hit with a wave of marijuana smoke when you leave the lobby.

This hotel has a great location, very close to many landmarks, to the central station, boat canal cruises, and there are so many options for eating out on all kind of budgets. It was definitely an experience to stay in this kind of hotel with “traditional brown bar/registration desk”.

Stopped in room 22 and the room and view was outstanding the only negative as it the only room on ground floor level to the bar u get to hear cleaners around 6am coming and going outside our door but id definitely stop again might ask for a room higher or bring my ear plugs :)
