Absolutely charming little inn, great food, my room had everything I needed and more, including usb slots in the main plug socket, very useful. Really clean, nice and warm and the bed was so comfortable! Great stay, couldn’t ask for more

8/10 Very good

Our stay here was brief but I was happy to see that they were willing to serve dinner not long before closing. (There aren’t a lot of dining choices nearby.) It is an older property but everything functioned and was clean. Boot tray in the closet for wet boots was a good feature, although we lucked out with the weather. We also appreciated the bottled water. We enjoyed the cook-to-order breakfast and overall friendliness of the property. The view of the bridge and stream was outstanding.

We’ve stayed here before and love the location, great food and really comfy beds. Down side this time was extortionate bar prices.

Special place, look forward to returning!

Really lovely Inn in a spectacular part of the world. Very comfortable and clean accommodation. Staff all very hospitable and friendly. Also flexible with allowing me a later checkout. A large lounge is downstairs with ample seating and ambient atmosphere.

Relaxing and warm

Warm friendly atmosphere, friendly welcoming staff. Food amazing and a comfortable bed, thoroughly enjoyed our short break at The Bridge Inn.Crystal clear river runs along side the Inn, lovely to wake up to the sound of the river The decor throughout is very tastefully done. Great that we could also bring our dog with us, to share this stunning area.

Bridge Inn. Would do it again anyday.

Had a great time here. English hospitality at it's best. Good food with a nice little Pub. Clean rooms. Only down side is they're all on the 2nd floor with narrow stairs up. Hard to get here, but that's not their fault. If you find yourself going thru this area, it's a good stay.

Would not go back

Service was awful. Staff were just plan outright rude. One response during breakfast, in response to when a customer said "excuse me" to the waiter, was "no, Ill speak to you later". I moved a cup at breakfast and the waiter said to me "I've had to replace that cup to you moved". Only one place comes to mind when describing The Bridge In. Fawlty Towers, and the waiter is like Basil.

Ideal for a walking stay.

Our stay was for three nights and we had breakfast and evening meals for the duration of our stay. The food was very good and the service of the food excellent despite it being busy when we visited. There are a good selection of drinks available. The prices are reasonable for the area. The location is ideal for walks and although we don't have a dog, the pub is dog friendly. The pub is located in the River Irt valley next to a camp site. It's a large pub with a bar, dining room and outside seating area with overhead shelters. There is ample parking. All of the staff are friendly and obliging.

First of all, big shoutouts to the amazing staff! Andy, Wayne, Greg, and all the rest. You made my stay a joy. The room I stayed in was bigger than I expected, given the building looking quite small and old from the outside. The condition was good but not perfect, but not less than you’d expect from the price and general appearance of the place. The food in the restaurant was great and decently priced. I liked that the pub was crowded with people not staying at the inn, which to me is a proof of quality. I’m not gonna write a whole lot more about this place because I want to keep it for myself :)

8/10 Very good

Nice place to stay after a day exploring the area. Staff were generally nice and friendly. Bar had a lovely fire and the food was good. Room was as expected for a pub, you can see efforts have been made to make it a bit more modern but there was a bit of a musty smell. The main issue was our room had a lightbulb from the sign right outside of our window, so that even with the curtains shut it was really bright in the room. It meant we struggled to fall asleep as it really was very bright. A blackout blind would be much better

Friendly owner and staff , nothing was a problem for them . After a busy night in Blackpool we stopped here for the night on our way back to Edinburgh. We were looking for some peace and quiet and that’s exactly what we got in the most tranquil location. Check in was not until 4pm but we arrived around mid day for a bit lunch . Owner said it would be fine to book in around 2ish and gave us some ideas on what to look at in the area for a few hours. Soup of the day for lunch with home made bread was excellent and steak and ale pie for dinner was the best I’ve had and to wash it down with a pint of Lilly’s ruhbarb cider 🍺 . Breakfast is included with your stay and they had everything on offer and I mean everything. The full English is just what you need to get your day started. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay and we will definitely be back in the future ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Nice place to stay. Coffee shop not far away and walkable - very nice. Need a car as narrow lanes to get to and no footpaths. Service at breakfast on the 1st morning was slow but that was due to the young girl serving. Not there when we arrived and waited 10 minutes before she appeared. Left dirty dishes on tables when she could have easily removed when bringing other dishes etc...She was friendly enough. 2nd morning, totally different service. Lady on duty was attentive and efficient. Nothing was too much trouble. Food is good, book a table as it is busy. Rooms were clean and spacious but feel they missed a trick with our room. Small corridor to the bathroom but no hooks to put coats on etc.. Would definitely stay again...
