Everything about this place exceeded my expectations. As I exited my hotel, I saw the Bach Museum on my left and the Church Bach played at (and where his remains are) directly in front of me. There is also Auerbachs Keller and a lovely busy tourist area within 2 blocks or so. There is a mini-bar that is free and has four great Germany-specific drinks. (I think it’s the only hotel I’ve ever been in that is cool enough to do something like this. I’m not sure why every other hotel has to nickel and dime customers.) The service was fantastic. They held my bags for several hours after I did an early check out, but wanted to see the city in all its glory. My room had a nice musical score painted on the back of my wall (assuming from Bach). I was not expecting to like this hotel more than so many other hotels I’ve stayed in the past, especially given that Leipzig is not a huge city in terms of size, but I would highly recommend this place to everyone planning on visiting Leipzig.

Gemütliche Nächte in Leipzig

Ich war für zwei Nächte im Townhouse und es war wirklich toll! Das Zimmer war gemütlich, das Frühstück hervorragend und die Lage wirklich spitze. Man kann die Altstadt toll zu Fuß entdecken. Ich musste leider nach 22 Uhr einchecken und obwohl die Rezeption zu der Zeit nicht mehr besetzt war, hat mit Hilfe der per Mail erhaltenen Instruktionen alles ohne Probleme geklappt. Frühes Auschecken und Gepäckaufbewahrung war auch problemlos möglich. Uneingeschränkte Empfehlung!

Et fantastisk hotel midt i Leipzig by…alt tæt på. Morgenmaden var så lækker og kokken lavede omelet og der var en masse udvalg. Kan klart anbefales og prisen var så billig!

Beautiful hotel in the same plaza in the Thomaskirche. Perfect for Bachfest. Staff was very helpful, rooms were comfortable and clean with air conditioning, and small gym was nice. Only downside was it was a bit challenging to find, the signage on the front of the hotel could stand out more. This was a bit challenging the 2 times we got food delivery.

Traumhaftes Boutique Hotel im absoluter Top Lage

Sehr schönes Boutique Hotel direkt an der Thomaskirche, also super Zentral. Wir hatten ein riesiges Zimmer (kostenloses Upgrade). Das Frühstück ist ein Traum - alles da. Die Eier werden nach Bestellung direkt frisch zubereitet. Es gibt eine Sauna (haben wir nicht genutzt weil das Wetter zu schön war). Schade nur, dass es keine Möglichkeit gab, dass unsere Räder über Nacht im Haus untergestellt werden können. Wir mussten sie draußen abstellen - war dann aber o.k.

They clean the room only once in three days. They even do not change wet towels unless you specifically ask them to do it, and even if you ask, they often fail to do it. They said that this cleaning policy is for protecting the environment, but I felt that it is just an excuse to reduce the service and cut the running cost. The people at the reception have a busy shift schedule, so you rarely see the same person. When your request was not properly done, they never apologize. They only tell you that you talked to a different stuff, and he or she did not know about it, and so s/he was not responsible.

Der Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel war wunderbar, es stimmte einfach alles. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück war einmalig, es fehlte an nichts. Die Lage des Hotels war optimal, wir konnten alles zu Fuß erreichen. Das Zimmer war sauber und sehr großzügig. Nur die Beleuchtung im Zimmer hätte heller sein können.

A perfectly suitable room and bath with direct view of St Thomas Church. If you need morning coffee first thing, and are staying more than one day, you‘ll need to bring not only coffee, but equipment for making it. The first day coffee was complimentary by way of a special machine; unfortunately it takes only special Illy cartridges.
