The staff was very slow, unprofessional and not very helpful. I booked three nights and then had to change my reservation, they took 30 minutes to tell me I could not get a refund and had to pay for a new booking. The washroom smelled awful and made me gag every time I went in. This is the worst hotel experience I have ever had, I will never stay here again.

Go for the pool. Nothing else.

Pool was the best part of this hotel. Room is dated. Airco was warm all night! 25 degrees even though we adjusted it to lowest setting. Bathroom was clean but door had mould on it and looked like it would get unhinged anytime. Breakfast was a miss - they ran out of cutlery, the coffee machine broke 2-3 times, and the food did not impress. Did I mention the pool was the best part - it was actually cool unlike the WARM water at the sister hotel Torarica.

Chill stay

Staff were great, location is my preferred near restaurants and the river, airport shuttle very convenient, but room was freezing and could not be fixed despite several attempts. ATM at the other Tarioca takes visa, the grand version doesn’t. As in most places, get a metered taxi rather than the pirates who are standing out front on call.

Na 2 jaar geleden wateroverlast uit het plafond in de badkamer, nu flinke wateroverlast in de badkamer door niet aansluiten glazen douchedeur. Loszittende handdoekhaak en toiletrolhouder. Prullenbakken zijn aan vervanging toe. Deze zien er beschadigd/vies uit aan de buitenzijde. Na eerste nacht erge rugpijn door zacht schuimrubber matras, maar gelukkig dag erna vervangen door een uitstekend matras en heerlijk geslapen. Toiletbril zat los cq verschoof. Voor ouderen is het aan te bevelen om in de douche en naast het lage toilet een beugel te plaatsen. Bij het zwembad stonden wel heel erg weinig ligbedjes en parasols. De handdoeken bij het zwembad zijn wel heel erg kort, waardoor deze steeds van de rugleuning afglijdt en je met het grootste gedeelte van je beden op het bedje zelf rust. Door te weinig ligbedjes, werden wij verwezen naar het grotere zwembad bij Torarica Resort. Dat is echter vaak vies: veel insekten en haren in het water. Bezorging van bestelde drankjes duurt heel erg lang; soms wel 45 minuten, ondanks ogenschijnlijke aanwezigheid van voldoende personeel. Men komt ook niet regelmatig vragen of je nog iets wilt drinken, zowel bij het zwembad als in het restaurant. Van de 14 dagenlange vakantie gebeurde dit alleen de laatste 2 dagen. Het personeel bij de frontdesk/balie was in tegenstelling tot 2 jaar geleden erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam.

Hôtel moderne. Propreté parfaite. Activités parfaites mais le personnel est tout simplement horrible. Pas de bonjour, pas de sourire, toujours l'impression de les déranger. Bref extrêmement déçu dès l'accueil
