Cannot fault the accommodation, facilities e.g. Beer Garden & Cocktail Bar, Private parking and friendly staff, if heading back to that area for any more "functions" etc will definitely stay there again.

The staff was so very kind from the moment we checked in til the very end. They were helpful in giving suggestions, directions and just overall kindness. The restaurant was delicious as well (the sticky toffee pudding is a must try!) The bar downstairs is great as well. I would suggest getting the breakfast included in your stay as it is convenient since there aren’t many cafes/restaurants open that early around. The hotel has a lot of a historic charm about it yet still well maintained and clean. We always came back after a day out to a clean suite.

Love this building, outside garden area if weather permitting, interior very tidy, rooms clean and comfortable, staff great nothing too much bother for them. We had booked for 2 nights but travelled a day earlier and asked if possible could we book in for extra night but to save any hassle could we have the room allocated to us to save moving , this was sorted with ease . Hotel recommended .

A nice hotel with great friendly staff. Whilst the hotel is clean and tidy it is looking a little tired, and if you stay in a bedrooms on bottom floor then you can’t open curtains as people walk past! Disappointing that downstairs patio area not open! Breakfast doesn’t open until 7.30 which can be a challenge to us on business but is very nice when it does arrive.

Lovely hotel, but the room was very tired and the mattress was in need of replacement. Awful pillows! Breakfast vas ok, but inconsistent in the quality of cooking - fried eggs solid - new tray. No Scottish delicacies, marmalade or Larne sausage . Disappointing

Classic old property, facilities are just ok, but our room was disappointing, hate complaining, so we just got on with it, sadly after using the hotel many times over years we will be looking elsewhere on our next visit. Staff in the restaurant were good but the food was cold and not served to our party at the same time, it wasn’t that busy either.
