2/10 Poor

The hotel was in full renovation. The promise of continental Breakfast consisted of a bowl of Bananas, cuties, & dry oatmeal. The mattresses were filthy. There was a large box with an air conditioner that was randomly left in the room. The plumbing was not working well.

6/10 Good

This property is a good, no frills option when you just need a place to stay and don't require much from the one apparent staff member. We appreciated it was clean. A few updates to the rooms and amenities would go a long way. I would choose this again in the same situation. Be aware the property is two stories with no elevator.

If I could do zero stars I would. We booked for two nights and left after the first. Dirty, no extra towels (had to go buy some), no extra pillows, no one answers phone, smelled bad (even towels smelled bad), stains on carpet, unfriendly.

Dirty. Smelly. Bad lights and electric receptacles

The HVAC unit in the room did not work. Seemed to have no power. Could only open window about an inch..

Find a better place to stay

The hotel was very dirty and i had only one towel in my room. The desk clerk was rude and i probably will not stay there again

Renovation

The property os in the middle of a renovation. It didnt get in the way at all. It will look very nice when they are done.

Cheap is not always better.

This place should not be on your list of options in Lacrosse. Mold in the shower, bed was not comfortable, no wash cloths, very few towels. Breakfast was cereal with fruit which looks like it came from a food pantry. A gallon of milk was sitting out for a long time. The lock on our door was broken. Half the place was boarded up.

Checked in, went to the room, ended up not cleaned. Went to a second room, someone was in there already. 3rd room, was no one, but smell like mold and stinky feet. Had to open the room window n air it or. Shower didn't have shower curtain.

Didn't have my reservation and asked me to pay more for a larger room. Continental breakfast was chips & soda lol. Hotel was under construction. Friendly staff was the only good part of this hotel. Would not recommend unless you're desperate.

The hotel did not match the advertised pictures. It was very rundown, under renovation, and very dirty.

Horrible motel

When we checked in and went to the room it was very hot in the room. We left for a bit and came back and still hot in the room. I went to the front desk and told them and asked if we could move. He said no we are booked and had the maintenance man come. Well he put a new air-conditioning in. I went to take a shower and the clog wouldnt drain along with the sink. Very terrible stay. Rude workers

Property was in poor condition and dirty. We had 1 bath towel and when we tried to find a staff member after check in no one was around and 2 parities were trying to check in (it was before 10 pm). In the morning we tried to find someone without any luck. The breakfast that was promised was little Debbie’s snacks and warm juice

The worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in, even though there was remodeling going on my room, which was not being remodeled was filthy. The tub area was disgusting. The continental breakfast was a bunch of little Debbie snacks on a table. It said that my room had a jetted tub and it did not. The pool was closed. I wouldn’t dare take any ice out of the ice machine. No screens on the windows.
Corey, 1-night trip

No key access, had to wait 20 minutes to be let into the room each time.

2/10 Poor

Horrible experience. The majority of the rooms in this hotel are condemned (there are official signs on them!). The hallways and rooms smell like cigarette smoke. Dimly lit maze-like layout. NOT clean. Got to our room and there were crumbs and debris all over the floor. Black mold and mildew in the mini split unit. Missing lightbulbs and cords hanging out of the wall. Was refused a refund (from the hotel, will be contacting Travelocity next). When I approached the front desk other patrons were complaining about the ice machine broken and pool being closed. Needless to say we spent about 5 minutes in our room before deciding to find a different hotel.

I feel sorry for the staff that works there, but that being said it’s a very sketchy place. We only had hot water in the bathroom sink when I turned on the shower in the bathtub black water came out the toilet wouldn’t flush and they were really bad, looking people all around the building at all hours of the night

I booked a room 2 months in advance. Upon arrival the place did not look like the photos and it was very dirty. There was an odor as I walked in. An employee told me they did not have A/C nor any rooms available, even after I mentioned I had made a reservation. They could not give me a refund and when I called the number they gave me to fix this issue nothing was resolved. This was a terrible experience.

Want my money back

We rented two rooms. No heat in lobby, first room they gave me key would not work, finally got into the room and the heating unit was falling off the wall. They moved me to a room where the garbage can was set up outside the room to catch the roof leak. The new room was dirty, nightstand light would not work, the bathroom light flickered when it was on, no coverings on the wall The second guest room we had rented was just as bad

This was probably the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. It was not immediately obvious that we were even at the correct hotel a ns the sign out front said Norwood Inn. I feel like they market Blue Way Inn and Suites as nicer than Norwood Inn even though it's the same facility. I don't think they had our room ready when we got there even though we got there 4 hours past check in time and there didn't seem to be many other people staying there. I'm pretty sure they just changed the sheets and sprayed a bunch of air freshener. The faucet on the sink was leaking and they had placed a bucket to catch the water in which ended up overflowing during our stay. The hallways in the hotel smelled like cigarettes and cat/dog pee. Calling this place a 2 star hotel feels like a stretch and we felt that it was way overpriced for the quality. Only ended up staying here because there were no other options due to it being a busy weekend in LaCrosse. Will not be staying here again or recommending to anyone.
