Paradise

The hotel was lovely, very beautiful grounds, extremely kind people. The only two negatives were there was a mandatory power outage one morning turning off our ac and WiFi and also the shower water pressure was just ok. The beds were comfortable, the food was good. Location is near many of the attractions but outside nihn bihn city center.

The property was peaceful and felt out of the way, but access to cars using Grab was always easy and fast, and inexpensive. The hotel was helpful in arranging transportation from Hanoi airport to the hotel, and from the hotel to Hanoi Old Quarter, which was cheaper than four of us taking a bus. The food was good, and the staff were incredibly friendly. Our room was clean, with bottled water added every day. The AC doesn’t run when you aren’t in the room, so it’s hot when you get back after a day out, but the room cooled relatively quickly. The kids wished we could stay longer!

Fantastic stay - would recommend

Had a fantastic stay here - the location is beautiful, the staff are so helpful, rooms are lovely and clean, tasty breakfast which was included in room rate and free bikes available at the property so we were able to cycle to local attractions for free! Would definitely recommend - this is a great place to stay, relax and see Ninh Bimh.

We spent two nights at the Fairy Mountain Retreat, it is such a nice place. The moment you enter they welcome you with a smile. It is so peaceful here, the location is perfect, all the sites are accessible via bicycles or scooters. Thuy and Hai are awesome. Thank you for your hospitality!!!

Absolutely fantastic!

In all of our travels, Fairy Mountain Retreat has become one of are favorite. The vibe is super chill and scenery is just wonderful. The bungalow we stayed in was really comfy with a huge view of cliffs and a porch with chairs. The pool was great with great views. The grounds are really well maintained. We biked to dragon mountain, Mua cave, boat tour at Trang An Grottoes and a few other places. The bikes at the resort were fine. The service we experienced with Chung and Thuy was simply excellent. All in all, this place is a gem with personalized service and

Very scenic

Lovely resort, absolutely stunning views. The staff were so nice. The bedrooms were okay, the AC didn't work very well. The food was okay but we didn't like the fact that cats were allowed to roam around and jump on your chairs when food was served - this seemed unhygienic to us. Cats should not be allowed near food area.

I booked this place on the strength of the rating but I have to admit that I felt really let down. It all started with the poor welcome and reception that we received i.e. left standing outside a closed gate with all our luggage under the hot sun for sometime before the staff eventually arrived and no help offered with our luggage. The safe in the chalet did not work. The waste water from the bathroom basin was emptying directly into the pond (with fish) behind the chalet as the waste pipe had become disconnected. There was a strong sulphuric stench when we started using the water in the bathroom. I suspect that there may be bacterial build up in the water system. The food in the restaurant was disappointing and was really hit and miss on what was served with my orders. I ordered an omelette for breakfast and was served scrambled eggs, ginger tea was served instead of green tea. What was supposed to come with rice noodles came with rice instead. There were 3 power outages during our 2 days stay and no torch provided in the chalet. These last from 30 minutes to nearly 2 hours. No back up generator and communication was really poor. On the plus side, the staff tries their best. They were very helpful and friendly but cannot compensate for the poor amenities. The area around the chalet is lovely but the location is quite remote. It is a drive to get anywhere. Around 15 minutes to Tam Coc.

I’m traveling from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City and originally thought about skipping Ninh Binh — I’m so glad I didn’t. I came across photos of Fairy Mountain Resort and thought, This place looks different from the usual spots I’ve been staying at. And it absolutely was. The resort is beautiful, peaceful, and surrounded by nature. The staff were friendly and welcoming from the moment I arrived. I had an early departure, so I settled my bill the night before. As I was getting ready to head back to my room, the owner — who lives on-site — invited me to have a beer with him and his wife. It turned into one of those unforgettable, genuine travel moments. That’s the real magic of traveling: connecting with people, hearing their stories, and sharing a laugh over a cold drink. Next time I’m in Ninh Binh, there’s no question — I’ll be staying here again. Oh — and one more thing: I was out at 4:30 a.m. and having trouble getting a Grab ride back. I texted the resort a picture of my location, and they immediately sent a taxi and made sure I got back safely.

Staff are great. Very helpful and they do their best to make your stay as good as possible. Free bikes to hire and local recommendations. Property itself is an amazing area, can be a bit far from places but we always had access to a grab if needed. Would definitely stay again.

Das Hotel liegt sehr schön eingebettet in die Natur und umgeben von den Karstfelsen. Die ganze Familie ist sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Das Frühstück und die Küche überhaupt sehr lecker. Das Wasser im Pool ist sehr natürlich und angenehm. Die Häuschen sind sehr schön in die Natur eingebunden. Man kann sich Fahrräder und Roller ausleihen und kommt damit sehr gut zur Bootstour. Englische Kommunikation ist super. Transfer wird sehr gut organisiert.Wir hatten eine schöne Zeit im Fairy Mountain und empfehlen es gerne weiter.

Pool was dirty and slimy at the bottom, staff sneezing into hands and washing them in pool, drinking glasses were very dirty in the room, construction happening consistently throughout the day next to the pool, bath was dirty, not in a very convenient location for travelling into the town. Otherwise, the staff were very friendly and catered very well to our very early arrival time - they let us use the spa area from 2am until regular check in time. Many bicycles to use to travel into town, and a very cute dog.

Favorite place in Vietnam.

What a beautiful and serene place to stay. The cabins are very comfortable and the setting is remarkable as it is ringed with limestone mountains. The food is delicious, the service is excellent. A small piece of parayawaits!

Fast wie im Paradies

Wirklich schön und ruhig gelegene Unterkunft inmitten der Berge. Das eigene Restaurant ist sehr lecker, auch die Cocktails waren super. Die Hütte für vier war recht geräumig und sehr sauber. Die Angestellten und der Besitzer waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Bei Ankunft steht man vor einem eisernen Tor ohne Schild, der Pool war noch im Aufbau, es war jedoch eh zu kalt, das Resort ist noch nicht alt und noch in der Entwicklung (kein Baulärm)
