Outstanding new 5* in a beautiful setting. Looking straight out to sea with an amazing roof restaurant/bar with beautiful sunsets, a serine garden pool area that was so peaceful and a short walk to the main centre with all the shops and local restaurants. We had a lovely week in the Ara Maris. We couldn’t fault a thing. The staff are excellent, the location is ideal and I would recommend it to anyone. We had an open suite with a garden view, and were perfectly happy with it - the sea view also faces a busy road so unsure whether that is worth the premium.

Our stay at the hotel was beyond surpassed our expectation. The property and surrounding area was BEAUTIFUL!!! Concierge staff was great with setting up our roundtrip transportation to/from airport, dinner reservations, and tours. All of the other staff were just as amazing, especially the bartenders at Lumi Sky. We spent our evenings at Lumi Sky watching the sunset drinking limoncello spritz and lemon drop martinis. The breakfast options were also great, but Lumi Sky in the evening was our favorite.

Really pleased I picked Ara Maris. The hotel only opened a year ago so everything was pristine. Staff were attentive as you would expect in a five star and willing to help with anything. Great location, on the doorstep of everything while being peaceful. Pool had great facilities. Only thing I would have liked is for it to be heated so I could have made use of it. However, the free hour in the spa pool with controlled access so not overloaded was great. However would have preferred to be able to use the sauna without having to book the space. Minor gripes in an all in amazing experience.

Mixed feelings about this hotel

Overall, this is a real 5* hotel with good location and a luxury vibe….. But…. God exists in the little things which make the difference and for sure, he was not there. Breakfast is very good, but served only from 07:30 AM. Normally, there are trips and activities in the area that starts earlier, so you must skip breakfast if you book one. They tried to charge us 3 days of parking (35 euros per day), although we used the parking only for 40 hours. If we hadn’t insisted, we had paid another day without justification. When we came back from our outdoor activity, we asked to use the shower. We felt like someone was doing for us a favor. The guest is the most important resource of the hotel and we haven’t felt like this.

We stayed in a suite overlooking the Mediterranean, and the views were nothing short of breathtaking. One of our favorite parts of the trip was relaxing at the rooftop bar each evening to watch the sunset—an experience we’ll never forget. We highly recommend this property to anyone visiting the area. Absolutely incredible! The hotel is gorgeous & extremely clean. The location is a 2 minute walk to the square w/lots of shopping & food. It’s also w/in a 10 min walk to the ferry’s. The hotel pool is gorgeous. The staff is friendly and attentive. The roof top lounge has the most breath-taking views. We would 10/10 stay here again!
