As an overnight stop after a long day's driving, the Gundagai Motel had everything I needed. Simple tidy room, a very comfortable and well and snugly-made bed, and a nice hot shower, with shops, pub and cafes a short walk away. Check-in and -out was simple and no fuss, but keep your phone handy for the SMS if you don't remember your door code. Room 30 is a little hidden gem to find though, but as it is away from most of the other rooms, it was extra private. Will stay there again if passing through.

No mention that’s is was an automated check in, no sms received advising codes, took 3 phone calls to get codes, room 30 is stuck right back in a dingy corner, 1/2 roll of toilet paper, maybe 6 tissues left in box, no staff save for some bloke walking round with a scowl on his face like you were nuisance value, $145 for this room is a joke, don’t know who wrote the reviews that i read but hope they were paid well

Adequate for an overnight stay and well located.

This is a remote check in property. That means no one on site. I had to call for our room number and door code, which took around 10 minutes to organise. Our room was basic but adequate. An older style motel but well maintained. Price was probably around $40 more than I think was appropriate, but we were only there for one night breaking a journey. But it smelt a bit strange: a salty sort of smell. Location was great, just across from the club and Woolworths just past the club.
