Best view and location

It was an amazing experience. This place is a gem in the jungle. We booked last minute and was not sure about it. But everything about the place was great. We had 360 degree views from all places, lots of animals, clean rooms and also food

I had a wonderful stay, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment I arrived. The breakfast was fenomenal Everything was fresh and well prepared. The room was clean and had stunning views, we also got to see monkeys and other animals around the property. Highly recommend this place! They also offer a free tour through the hanging bridges, our tour guide Jose was incredibly knowledgeable of the nature and animals (don’t skip the tour!)

It's located on top of a great rain forest with good Valley and ocean views. we saw lot of wild life during the free tour of the resort which has good hanging bridges.we saw sloths, macaws, toucans and monkeys.

This hotel was set in its own beautiful jungle with a tremendous set of hanging bridges around the perimeter - a unique setting that attracted a variety of animals and birds including Capuchin Monkeys and a nesting pair of Toucans. William, the Manager, was a charming gentleman who took great pains to ensure our needs were fully met. The room was clean and had tremendous views

Great location and friendly staff

We arrived in the dark and were met by a very friendly reception member of staff who was very clear in his instruction as to how the place ran. Which is by the way very efficient using WhatsApp as a means of communication. Mountain top Park benefits from being at the very top of the hill with fantastic views from the restaurant bar area in both directions over the sea and across to the mountains. we were very lucky to have toucans and monkeys come and visit the property on site. There are great hanging bridges and trails which you can either do independently or with a knowledgeable guide for free in the morning who managed to spot three sloths on the nature tour. All of the staff were very friendly and accommodating and had a good sense of humour particular mention to Emze, Amity, and Jose Jairo.

It was beautiful sunset view, but i felt that for the price the zipline and night tour should have been included since there was no pool

Amazing Stay!

What an amazing place. The location. The staff. The food. The rooms. Everything is fantastic. Jose who was our tour guide for our morning and evening nature walks was amazing...it felt like we were doing the tours with a friend. Ericksen (sp?) in the restaurant was really nice and attentive. The setting was just amazing. At the top of the hill with a panoramic view of the surroundings. Our balcony looked out into the forest, and we got to watch monkeys, toucans, macaws, etc. from our window. When we travel, we always try to hit different places for variety, but I would 100% go back here. I can't recommend highly enough.

My husband and I could not recommend this hotel more — it was absolutely amazing! From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly helpful and welcoming. Our room had breathtaking views that we’ll never forget. One of the highlights was the FREE guided tour, which was 100% worth it. The day before, we explored the trails and hanging bridges on our own and didn’t spot any wildlife. But on the guided tour, we saw parrots, toucans, a poison dart frog, and even three sloths — one with a baby! It was unforgettable. The bartender also deserves a shoutout — he was so kind and made the best mojitos. We genuinely looked forward to seeing him each evening. Mountain Top Park Hotel is a 10/10. We can’t wait to come back!

6/10 Good

The property itself was beautiful. It was unclear that our room was up 45ish steps that were uneven. This was less than ideal without warning and to move our luggage. The pull out sofa was dilapidated and it took a couple of requests to get bedding for it and a third towel even though we were clear there would be 3 people and had to pay for an extra person. 2 of 3 days we had cold showers and the breakfast was somewhat limited. The people were very nice.

If you are staying in the Manuel Antonio Park area, we recommend at least one night here. The view from our room was SPECTACULAR! We took a hike around the property which include an series of aerial bridges as well as trails below. During dinner we were treated to a dinner show of a troup of monkeys climbing through the treetops. As the restaurant balcony was a treetop level we had a great vantage point. And as we were heading to our room, the hotel host pointed out a sloth hanging in a tree next to the hotel (again at eye level). We have seen more wildlife in the wild in our first 6 hours here than we have the previous 10 days in Costa Rica. And we haven't even taken the FREE walking tour of the grounds yet. Has been beyond expectations!

The Mountain Top Park Hotel is great, located at the highest point of Manuel Antonio, you have a spectacular 360 view. The rooms are very clean, good size and again, have an amazing view. They have 4 pathways throughout the huge property where you can see tons of wild animals. Surprisingly, they also have 8 hanging bridges across the whole property (and I believe also ziplines). You can do a free guided tour (twice a day; 7am or 9:15am) or explore the paths and hanging bridges on your own. The guided tour was great, we saw Toucans, Capuchin monkeys, frogs and more during the 1.5 hours tour. The included breakfast is really good (fruits, cereal, juices, eggs, toast, rice & beans, sausage and more) and is from 7am to 9am. The restaurant has Happy Hour and good food but the best is the ocean view and sunset you can see from it. The staff is really friendly, helpful and striving to make your stay great. Overall a very cool experience and a very special property, that I would certainly book again.

I loved this place! Very clean, safe and mostly quiet from human noise 😂. First time in my life that I’ve been able to relax, mainly because I was surrounded by nature and its noise had a calming effect. Highly recommended if you just want to relax. The National Park and its beaches are 10 minutes drive from the hotel. The only downside is that Uber is not very common in the area and you have to rely on expensive and unreliable taxis to drive you around if you don’t have your own car.

Literally stay in a park!

Stayed with my family including two teen boys. The hotel was fantastic! All the staff were very accommodating and helpful. We arrived over 2 hours before check-in with the hope of using the laundry facilities. Even though we were very early Jose said our room was ready and allowed us to check in early. They do not have a laundry room, but they offer laundry services. We had the laundry picked up and dropped off quite promptly. They offer a free morning nature walk through the hanging bridges and trails on the property for overnight guests. The property is amazing! We saw so much wild life from the comfort of our balcony which included a hammock chair. Pack your binoculars! Other reviews mentioned the construction. They worked during the day while we were out exploring so it didn’t bother us at all. The on site restaurant had good options at reasonable prices. We ate there twice for dinner. Breakfast was very good. The only thing they could do better is have some Salsa Lizano for breakfast! I love that stuff!

This is a 15 out of 10 experience for us. The view of the sunrise and sunsets were spectacular and panoramic. Every single staff member went out of their way to carry our bags, answer our questions and accomodate us. We got a 5 star experience at 3 star prices because the top hotel had only been open one week and there was still painting, electrical work, installations happening in the common areas. The guided tour far exceeded any expectations as we saw a multitude of toucans, sloths, monkeys, etc close up in a short time. We also enjoyed wonderful massages there in one of tbe hotel rooms as the formal Spa is not yet completed. Huge shout out to Enzo, Jose, Kevin, Randall, Charlie for all the many extras. The food was also delicious and plentiful. If you are afraid of heights, this beautiful location might be challenging but I am so so glad we stayed here!

Monkeys, comfort, and walking bridges. Splendid!!!

THIS HOTEL IS AMAZING! We had no idea this would be the highlight of our trip. We were in room #1, right above the laundry/kitchen and easy access to breakfast each morning. On arrival, Emzo & Jose helped us get to our room and shared details about the area. We ate breakfast outside and loved the service. The greatest joy was seeing the monkeys on our balcony each morning. The hosts even take you on a private morning tour (before or after breakfast) on their swinging bridges. This took about an hour and was a huge BONUS for this hotel. Jose showed us many things, besides the monkey, including iguanas, frogs, plants and the new hotel. My wife and I could not love this place more! I highly recommend staying here if you're seeking comfort and something outside of 'just a room'. This place was a highlight for us as a 1st time Costa Rican visitor!!!
On of the monkeys on our balcony!
Monkeys...on our balcony!
Fresh fruit for breakfast, before scrambled eggs, yogurt, and other items.
Swinging bridges...ON PROPERTY!

8/10 Very good

The staff, views and mountain park is what sets this property apart. Emzo, Randall and all the staff were so nice and go above and beyond. The property tour which is included was a highlight of our stay. Our guide Alex was amazing and shared his knowledge throughout the tour. We saw birds, monkeys and a sloth near the hanging bridges just right on the hotels property. The hotel is new and be aware that there is still construction noise throughout the day. My only complain was a smell coming from our bathroom. It is also worth noting that the hotel is high above and not very walkable to the main streets. Make sure the taxi brings you all the way up to the hotel and not just the gate at the bottom. The views are incredible from every view point. The restaurant on site is delicious. Nothing better than having your coffee in the restaurant while you are seeing the monkeys and birds near by. Make sure you ask the staff to book you a Mangrove tour with Alex you will not be disappointed. We saw more wildlife in the mangrove tour and the hotel property tour than we did in Manuel Antonio National Park. We truly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning once the project is completed. Pura Vida;)
