Hotel was excellent, so was the staff and breakfast options. The location is perfect and only 1 deck of stairs up from the beach so very easy up and down even with luggage. Close to ferry docks as well - 5 mins. Also, perfect for the Lincanto private beach club.

We visited Positano at the end of a two week tour around Italy. It was paradise and Villa La Tartana was such a beautiful place to stay. We were there for my husband’s birthday so I arranged with Alfonso to have a bottle of champagne waiting in the room and, even though I responded with short notice, he made it happen. The property and our room were beautifully decorated, clean, and very well maintained. Our ‘partial’ view of the water was hardly obstructed at all. We sat on our balcony and enjoyed watching the boats. The location was awesome too. Hubby and I roamed around Positano and it was quite hilly (as you can clearly see from pictures) but our villa was very close to the main beach and did not require a lot of effort to get to and from. I would HIGHLY recommend staying here!

Villa la Tartana is simply a magical place in the magical town of Positano. We needed a few days of pure relaxation and this was the perfect place to do it. The staff was excellent, the room cozy, the views amazing. Surrounded by great restaurants and shops and just steps away from the beach. The ferry stop is close as well giving you options to visit Capri and the rest of the Amalfi coast! Bravo!!!

The hotel is in a central location with wonderful views and a helpful staff. The room was small but nicely decorated with a great balcony overlooking the beach. The only real downside was the water pressure. Most of the time it was fine, but it slowed to a trickle every morning between 7 and 8 am. After the first morning, we adjusted our schedule to avoid the morning rush.

I encountered several issues during my stay. The shower had a leak, and I was puzzled at first why I was given three floor towels, but I quickly realized they were necessary to prevent flooding. After checking in and going out for dinner, we returned to find the floor covered in ants. The room was very small, with a view of ongoing construction. On the positive side, the balcony was nice, and the location was convenient. However, the service was disappointing—there was no assistance with luggage, and everything was handled incredibly slowly. Additionally, the receptionist had limited English skills. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel.
