The staff at this hotel are wonderful. Ana and Ahmed checked us in, and were extremely friendly and great to talk to. They gave us great suggestions, and were lovely to talk to about life in Istanbul generally. Our one issue was that the street noise was pretty noticeable throughout the night. Otherwise, the room was nice and comfortable. And the view was incredible! We would stay here again if we return to Istanbul

It offers great view of the old town, and is in a convenient location. The immediate surrounding area is a bit industrial with a lot of construction related shops. However, many cafes and interesting spots are also with 5 min of walking distance and many main attractions are within 15 min. of walking.

Our stay at the Union Hotel was comfortable and convenient. Kasim (night staff) and Anna (day staff) were friendly and helpful. Anna even gave us free magnets as a farewell gift. Convenient Location & Amenities The hotel's central location made exploring easy, with trams and bus stops nearby. We appreciated the free water, simple breakfast (coffee/tea and Turkish bagel), slippers, and iron/ironing board (provided upon request). The water pressure in the shower was also good. Minor Issues We had an issue with the shower drainage, but it was fixed promptly. We also noticed the bathroom doorknob was loose and would fall off, but it didn't bother us enough to mention it. Solid Choice Overall, the Union Hotel is a solid choice for a convenient and comfortable stay. While not perfect, the staff were friendly, and the amenities were sufficient for our needs.

This hotel is in a great neighborhood, surrounded by stores that cater to workers (plumbing, electrical, etc) and you feel you are really in Istanbul. It’s a block from the bosphorous, between the metro and Galata bridges. Fantastic location, fantastic staff, clean and nice rooms, highly recommend!
