This is a beautiful property and the rooms are spacious, clean and the ocean view room has great views of the ocean. They’ve several restaurants with very good food. It’s only a few minutes outside of town. The staff is amazing especially Mireisy she’s so helpful and goes the extra mile to make you have a great experience. There’s several shops and restaurants nearby and next door supermarket has everything from liquor to phone charges. If you’re looking for safe, clean, and beautiful hotel Oceanside I highly recommend booking here. I can’t wait to return. I enjoyed my birthday weekend. Thanks to Watermark wonderful staff.

I enjoyed every moment of my stay the rooms are beautiful ,spacious clean bed and pillows are more than comfortable I just wanted to stay in bed and forget about my vacation schedule staff was super friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my stay here so much! I came to celebrate my daughter’s bday and they even decorated our room for her special day. I was very pleased with the cleanliness of the room, the staff, the interior of the hotel as well. The location was very convenient to most places (we rented a golf cart) yet not too close to traffic. It’s was the perfect place for us to stay. I would recommend.

Mostly good. Far from other amenities but that is my fault for not doing more research. First morning there I had to be somewhere at 8 am. The front desk promised me a ride there but was a half hour late and then the driver had no idea where to take me after saying she did. She ended up dropping me off a 15 minute walk from where I was to be.

Our one night stay at The Watermark was very enjoyable! We were greeted by the lovely front desk staff who made check in quick and easy. We were given a welcome drink upon arrival which we redeemed at the rooftop bar/restaurant which overlooks the ocean. We stayed in an ocean view room with a balcony and the view was AMAZING! Our room was clean, comfortable, and cool. The hotel is located in a great location with markets, bars, and additional restaurants close by. The hotel is currently under a bit of construction so I can only imagine how wonderful things will be once the renovations are done.

The Watermark was clean throughout, offered basic accommodations, and had a restaurant and spa. There were no perks such as robes and slippers in the rooms. Hotel only had one working elevator.

The staffbwas excellent. Front Desk Eldira was always pleasant and helpful booking excursions or making reservations. Stuart and Vanessa were awesome hosts at the rooftop bar and restaurant. We really enjoyed their company and demeanor. The cleaning staff were excellent and always offered extra water, towels, coffee, etc... The building is still under some construction but some of the details were missing. Also i understand their plan is to build a beachfront area with an in-ground pool, that will make a huge difference, a dock would be a welcome addition as well. Overall we had a good time at the Watermark and im sure once construcrion is complete it will be a top contender. Looking fwd to it.

Avoid at ALL costs!!!

This hotel is in cahoots with the San Pedro police to exhort tourists for money. The manager will call the police then you’ll be threatened to be arrested (over something very petty) if you dont pay the police the money. The police then give the hotel (the manager) a kick back. Happened to us and I’ve heard other stories from people that had very similar situation happened. Pictures online of the hotel are VERY deceiving. The roof top pool is an oversized bath tub. So small and useless. No one hangs out up there and it closes at 5pm. The hotel does not have but one ice machine and it is on the rooftop that closes at 5pm so….i had two very large un authorized charges on my card that I had to dispute. It claims ocean front but between the hotel and the beach is a junk yard of hotel remodeling materials you’re forced to look at. If you like being scammed this is the hotel to stay at!! If not, avoid at ALL costs!!

First of all, I’ve read a lot of reviews on here about the hotel before we booked it. I’ve also been to Belize almost 10 times and absolutely LOVE it for so many different reasons, it would take too long to review here. Watermark has been recently renovated. Here’s why my review will be different from others: I know what kind of travelers my husband and I are. If you are looking for a 5-star, Starbucks in the lobby with marble floors kind of stay, don’t stay in Ambergris Caye - at all. This island has the incredible, mom-and-pop kind of feel that so many people long for these days. Don’t come to Belize with American expectations. Accept that there will likely be power outages and get outside and enjoy the beautiful Belizean breezes. Learn to live with the small things Americans consider “inconveniences.” The hotel management is supreme. They’re so sweet and attentive to all their customers’ needs. Never ran out of hot water. We have stayed at a variety of places on the mainland and island and this was a beautiful, charming little place with plenty of charisma and lovely and warm people. We spent our 5 year anniversary here and they decorated our room upon our arrival. Please be kind when you leave reviews here, Belizeans are incredible people who are so loving and gracious, they have an incredible gem of a country and they know it and are proud of it - as they should be! Would (and will) absolutely come back.
