Great breakfast - with a view

A short walk from the station with comfortable well equipped rooms. The breakfast was the best we have had in three weeks touring Japan lots of local specialities (soba, tempura grape leaves, interesting egg and tofu dishes etc) freshly prepared and of very good quality served in a top floor dining room looking out over the surrounding hills.

Great hotel moments from the main train station. Nice rooms not flashy but have everything you need. Particularly liked the ability to choose your own pillow. Japanese breakfast was yummy and the staff were very friendly.

This hotel backs onto the train tracks and is next to a road so there was some traffic noise from this but didn't keep me awake or disturb me.

Value for money stay!

We stayed at the Chisun Grand Nagano for 4 nights- triple room share. Although it was a squeeze for three pax, the hotel made up in terms of cleanliness, provision of amenities, and friendly, helpful staff. There is a self service amenities bar at the lobby which we made use of. The hotel also loans items like umbrella, cutlery, iron etc. The room was clean with no funny smell. Location was also great, five minute walk from Nagano station.
