The room was clean and the beds were comfortable, there is a car park however the train station is only a 5 minute walk away for those who do not drive. It’s in a good location with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants nearby, however it does have its own bar and restaurant and the food is nice. We didn’t have time for breakfast so I cannot really comment on it however I would have thought it would be nice. There weren’t any net curtains or blinds in the room only heavy curtains, therefore in the morning for privacy we were unable to open the curtains to let daylight in until we were fully clothed. I would suggest they invest in net curtains or blinds for people’s privacy. The bath also had a chip in it, l wouldn’t expect them to install a new bath however maybe they would get something to fill it. The room had all the necessities apart from an iron and ironing board, however when I asked at reception they provided one straight away. The person who checked us in wasn’t overly friendly but they were professional and accommodating when we asked for an extra room. Overall we had a good stay and would stay again and would make sure we had enough time to have breakfast!

Overall a good place to stay

Everything about the day was excellent except for the noise. The hotel is on the road so there is car noise but it’s more about loudness of people walking by after they’ve been out on the town and walking home at all hours. The rooms are not double glazed class. Also unfortunately during our stay the alarm went off very early Saturday morning. Nobody from the hotel directed us or gave us any indication as to what was going on. This meant that they were people wondering about on the landing shouting and confused. It obviously turned out to be nothing but at no point did anybody from the hotel contact us to explain or apologise for the inconvenience. The staff in the hotel, are all very nice and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The breakfast is also good.

If you’re ever looking to to stay in this area I highly recommend you stay here. Staff are very polite, rooms are clean, beds are very comfortable, the food is a little pricey for my liking that’s because I’m from up north lol. I’ll 100% be staying again

Could do better with very little effort

Good check in, good location for train station, room temperature to hot (could not control radiator) l had to leave window open. Breakfast service slow but good staff and excellent food quality. Just need to make coffee and juice self service to speed things along.

Sadly we were given a very noisy room on the first floor at the top of the stairs. This spoilt the stay as resulted in disturbed nights and lack of sleep - avoid room 102

Stayed for two nights . The hotel is in a good location with free parking. Breakfast was included with our stay, there was plenty of choice and the staff attentive. We visit family nearby and have stayed at the Broadway before.

The evening meal was excellent. Breakfast ok, would have preferred back bacon and warm plates. Poor selection of fruit. Room was too hot even with fan. Needs updating. The shower is built for midgets and far too small. Dirty and dusty behind bedside tables. Toilet brush was dirty.

Loved the friendly staff and service. Clean, bed very comfortable. Food was lovely. Only thing I’d change, the choice of coffee pods for the Nespresso, the only ones available were awful, very bitter and didn’t taste like coffee at all! I’d have brought my mine if I’d known it was available.

Lovely period hotel with original features. Very friendly staff who take pride in their work. ... you can tell it is an independent, rather than a chain. Room serviced daily with fresh towels! Plenty of free parking.
