During our stay, the elevator was out of service the entire time. While the staff kindly assisted with our luggage, I had to use the stairs multiple times.
This would usually be manageable, but I’ve been undergoing physio and treatment for knee, foot, and lower back pain over the past few months. Had I known about the elevator issue, I would have chosen different accommodations.
The staff were courteous and did offer to move us to a first-floor room upon request. Unfortunately, that room had significant wind noise and didn’t feel fully prepared.
A small gesture, such as complimentary breakfast or treats, would have gone a long way, especially seeing many guests struggling up and down the stairs with heavy luggage.
If the elevator had been functioning, I would have rated this stay five stars. The room was quiet and we had a great rest overall.
However, the lack of proactive communication or meaningful follow-up made the experience disappointing.
I recommend calling ahead to confirm all amenities are in working order, especially if you have any mobility or medical concerns.
