we stayed in a small double room and it really was small but good enough as somewhere to sleep. not having a single window was strange tho. room appeared to be clean until just before leaving we checked under the bed to see if we’d dropped anything only to find a sock, crisp packet and whole lot of dust not from us. it may have been recently refurbished but it was not done well, bubbles in the wall paper trims missing from around the door. location is good, there’s a supermarket, coffee shop and tram stop within 15 mins walk. overall it was just about what to expect for the price it is

The hotel itself has most of the amenities that you would need and the rooms were very modern but the whole place was just so dirty. Our room 2080 was at first glance clean but the floor was covered in dust, dirt and hair. The window doesn’t open so there’s no air flow as the air-con doesn’t work. For the price of the hotel and the room it was good and it did everything you needed it to, comfortable bed, free shower products, fridge (which I had to unpack and plug in myself as it was left in the room with the packaging on). The hallways had carpet that needed a good hoover and the floor needed to be mopped. Everything was just dirty, when I go into a hotel I like to not be reminded of all the people who have been there and slept there before me and at this hotel there were reminders everywhere. The people there were very lovely and kind but I just think they need a whole new cleaning team or to remind them what to do because it was bad. If it wasn’t so dirty I would give it five stars. The location is good just 15 mins on the bus to anywhere in Amsterdam, if you want a cheap stay and not bothered about dust and lack of air flow I would recommend it.

Room was adequate for our needs the only comment I would make that there wasn’t an outside window so the window we had for the room couldn’t be opened but this wasn’t a massive issue Staff were really friendly towards us and helpful, if you need to stay out of the city this place isn’t a bad location to stay, one tram to Amsterdam sloterdijk then one train stop to central Amsterdam

Hotel stay

The hotel was nicely done but poor up keep and maintenance meant the hotel had not aged well. A few maintenance things in our room like dirty / marked walls, broken toilet door handle. The walls were also very thin so a lot of neighbour noise. The building smelt great throughout, some of reception staff were amazing and very helpful too. Great room service and presentation too. Location was great and accessible.

Amsterdam G hotel

Quiet, clean and comfy Not far from AMS airport or City centre. This room is located on the 2nd floor with a small canal view through window. Hotels.com had to know there is city tax and also tourist tax for each person per night as well, which Hotels.ca did not include the price in it's site at booking. We had to pay more than Hotels.com showed in the receipt.

Amazing staff, good location and affordable

One bus ride away from Amsterdam central. Staff were amazing, friendly and courteous. The aisles going to the rooms smells so good. Rooms were perfect for a couple considering theres an ample room for the luggages and breakfast food were sumptuous. The only thing we didn't like were the pillows. Its uncomfortable because there's barely any fillings left in it. They need to replace those. Overall, it's still highly recommended.
