Gorgeous relaxing retreat

This is a gem of a hotel! The views were absolutely spectacular. It was so relaxing to check in, unpack and have a lovely dinner right there. The hot tub experience is unparalleled!!! You have to see it to believe it. The complementary breakfast was delicious and the staff friendly. I would definitely return here if in the area!!

Beautiful off the beaten path stay!

We loved our stay! Recommend staying here to experience Iceland off the beaten path. You can have dinner here. Breakfast is included. Enjoy the tub outside! Very stunning views.

The start of our stay was very good. Friendly and helpful service and we could even borrow slippers to go out to the hot tub. The room was very spacious and even the bathroom was large. We had a nice time in the natural spring hot tub with a calming view. Unfortunatly our stay went downhill when it came to dinner. We ordered fish and one of them came with bones in it, which got stuck in the throat and coughed up. It’s a very serious and dangerous situation. We informed the staff, but still had to pay full price for the fish, and the rest of the night was ruined. This incident required an assesment at the hospital the following day by a specialist to make sure there wasn’t anything still stuck and to access the damge done to the esophagus.

We made a last-minute reservation and ended up with two twin beds. The beds were very narrow (even for twins) and neither of us got good quality sleep that night. It's a pity because the hotel is top-notch on all other counts.

Hidden gem

Let me say first, when driving to this hotel, you will feel like you're lost. It's located on a remote, gravel road. However, your GPS has not steered you wrong and it will pop up right where it should. When you get there, this hotel is amazing. The staff was friendly and the room was so comfortable. There were lovely photos on the wall and the beds and pillows were soft and fluffy. The bathroom had a great shower and heated towel rack. Our favorite feature was the natural hot spring behind the hotel. The staff gave us robes and offered crocs to wear out (we had our own water shoes). The hot springs was in a great stone pool with amazing views of the surrounding landscape. We loved this hotel and would absolutely return.

One. Of. The. Best. Hotels. In. Iceland. You MUST stay here. A bit of a drive off the ring road, but it is well worth it. The staff are outstanding. The food is delicious. The rooms are spacious. And the outdoor hot pool and view is out of a magazine. I will tell everyone I know who is going to Iceland to stay here.

This hotel was in a beautiful area! Lots of opportunities for hiking and sight seeing. The room was the biggest room we had in all of Iceland - which was a perfect recharge. They even had 1 or 2 board games in the lobby to play at the end of the day! Only complaint would be the breakfast was very minimal - it was the smallest/worst breakfast option we had on our trip. Otherwise, great hotel!

Cette chambre est un tue l’amour

Les deux lits qui en fait un c’est un tue l’amour. Il y a pas de pont d’amour Le restaurant est bon mais les portions sont petites. Notre purée était trop salée. Tout est fait avec des produits frais et du coin. La route est très caillouteuse. Nous avons pu charger notre voiture gratuitement. La vue est magnifique depuis le hot tub. Si vous avez le choix prenez les chambres paires qui ont une plus belle vue mais plus chères.
