We were contacted the day before we were to check in that there was a problem with the plumbing in the apartment that we had booked, so they would be putting us in a different apartment. When we got in, they had put us in the original apartment, which had a bad smell covered with air freshener. We decided we could live with the smell, but then had trouble with the tub being dangerously slick and the smoke alarm chirping a low battery alert every 15 seconds, starting at 4am. We sent a text and an email asking them to fix the smoke alarm and bring a mat or extra towel or anything for the tub. They never responded, so the second night we all four used the one shower that wasn't a fall hazard. The smoke alarm went off at 4am again, but at least we were faster at getting it stopped. I appreciated the initial communication before we checked in, and the apartment was clean and spacious, but the issues we had were in no way addressed. We would not stay again.
