Convenient APA in Asakusa. Accessible to almost anywhere. Windows are able to open too, suitable for winter stay. Recommended.

The hotel is the heart of Asakusa historic area. Walk-able to the historic and the hip area of Asakusa. There is a famous temple, Sen-so Ji within 5 min walk of the hotel which was a special treat for me. However, it is far from main train station (UENO), 30 mins walk and a 5-7 min local train ride. The walk is safe and you get to see the city. The staff members were kind and professional. However, the hotel is off the main street but easy to find through google map. So, if you are looking for a quieter place, it would be good choice. Generally, I liked the APA hotels but I wish they provided lotion with their toiletries.

Overall good experience. Unfortunately, they only have one register so there is a lot of traffic especially during check-in. Very small room very small bathroom. I am a small person and I thought it was tight. I cannot imagine a heaviest person staying in that room.

Super convenient to asakusa station and the senso-ji temple. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They allowed us to hold our bags for a few hours even after we had already checked out which was very convenient. Accommodation is very tight but very budget friendly.

Staff do not understand Japanese regulations regarding ID for travellers. Japanese Ministry of health (responsible for hotel regulation) requires hotels obtain a copy of ID from travellers not resident in Japan. There is no such requirement for Japan residents regardless of citizenship, as clearly explained on the Ministry website. This hotel demanded a copy of my passport despite evidence I am a Japan resident, and told me they apply this to all non-Japanese travellers. This is a racist policy. Further, all staff at check in and check out were wearing “trainee” badges so a) they had been recently told to do this, and b) were not being supervised by senior staff. Will not stay again.

Sehr kleines Zimmer. Hotel hat kein Dach, sondern einen Luftschacht. Das führte dazu, das es bei den hohen Temperaturen, die wir in Tokyo hatten, die Gänge vor den Zimmern in den oberen Etagen und die Zimmer auch sehr heiß waren (>35 Grad). Ohne Klimaanlage konnte man es nicht im Zimmer aushalten.
