The room was great! The staff was understaffed and needs more support from upper management. Upon check in there was one person checking in for a full hotel, I was charged the wrong rate and he didn’t have time to correct it. The night clerk, I purchased two bottled drinks which should have been $5.00 total she was unable to ring it in and ultimately I paid $10 for 2 drinks. She was very kind but obviously stressed and had no help. The morning clerks, I approached about the wrong rate. They were happy to correct but unable to figure out how to correct it. It was later corrected by another staff. Another member of the morning clerk staff was unable to calculate change for a $20 and tried to give me back more, I gave back the difference and kindly said “you only owed me $13.50”
The staff was friendly and kind and always willing to help but had no support in a leadership manner to properly do their jobs.
I will absolutely continuing staying at Holiday Inn Expresses, however I recommend additional
Support to this particular property.
