Tough Night

Woke up this morning with many small insect bites. I am assuming they are bedbug, as nothing was flying in the room. Left at 8 am and the office was locked and empty, so there was no one to even notify. This appears to be a refurbished mid-century Holiday Inn.

Our room smelled of marijuana, even though we had a non- smoking room. We requested another room and we received “the last non-smoking room available”. That room also smelled of marijuana. The lobby also had an unpleasant odor.

The area was safe and quiet and it was right off the higway. There were places to eat and shop near by The room smelled of cleaning products and the rooms were dated however we were only spending a night in a budget hotel so you get what you pay for the room had two beds and one had a stain on the sheet so we slept in the other and that one had a stain on the comforter the breakfast was continental so recommend eating someplace else. breakfast was in a brown bag and was a donut and a granola bar a fruit cup and a fruity drink if you are looking for no frills budget stay I would recommend staying here however I would check the sheets or bring your own

The woman at the desk was fabulous—welcoming, helpful, engaged and kind. That was the last good thing. Toilet had a dirty ring inside, tv was full of static and unwatchabl, amenities unpleasant, etc. Bed was fine. And because it was Thanksgiving, price was double the normal rate so we paid $200 for a Rm that should have cost 80. Maximum.

You get what you pay for. It was adequate.

The place is old but has been refurbished. Overall, it was relatively clean. Unfortunately, the sink had not been wiped clean, so that was a total gross-out. Light bulbs in the main lamp did not work. The TV was not connected to the cable. I was not able to get the remote to work and the desk staff coud not help. The beds were very comfortable though.

My family couldn’t reach me because I was having cell service issues so they called the front desk the evening they couldn’t reach me and then the morning after. The hotel employee told my daughter it was too early at 6am and refused to transfer her and then hung up on her. My sister tried calling and the ee picked up the phone and said stop calling. I was walking down the stairs that morning and the tread was work on the steps I slipped Ave hit my head at the bottom of the stairs C now it’s 630am. No ee came to see what the commotion was. I exited close to the entrance my suitcase went flying I slipped from the 3rd step and nothing. I then knocked on the door rang the door bell and nothing. Lazy employees.

We checked in. The door lock did not work. It took until 7:30 pm. to fix it and get keys. Asked us to move upstairs about 7 pm. And I am disabled with a very bad back. We could not go to dinner. It is advertised as having a pool and room service in which the property DOES NOT HAVE. I paid upon entering a fee of $30 to check out late. It is advertised as $20 until 1pm, $30 until 3 pm. The office called at 11:30 asking if something was wrong. Reminded I paid to check out then again called us at 12:30. We were so angry and uncomfortable, we left even though we paid to stay. Asked for a receipt upon checking out. I was told it would not print and would be emailed to me. I checked before leaving the property, went back in and made sure it was the correct address. I was told I would receive it in an hour. I never received it. It was the worst stay I ever had in my 56 years of traveling!!!

Nice staff, questionable room

Pros: Spacious room, clean bedding and towels, plenty of hot water, nice view of beautiful large trees, easy check-in and friendly staff. Cons: All three chairs available in our room were broken and unsafe to use…even though we addressed this with front lobby, laminate room floor was dirty…my white socks were covered with bits of hair, lint, dirt from outside, low toilet and toilet seat was loose, TV did not work well AND, very important…free breakfast was non-existent. Hotels.com should update the amenities listed for this hotel.
