I drove specifically to this hotel because it was advertised that a room with a double bed was available. But in the room were only two single beds. When I asked about it, I was told that no rooms with double beds were available. Moreover the hallways in the hotel were awful. The rest was fine.

Kind staff, niceroom. But we were disappointed that there were no minibar, and worse: not even a kettle with some coffee and tea. Also the restaurant was closed for a la carte the entire weekend, and only served a buffet that was much to expensive for the quality.

Utsidan berättar inte om insidan.

Utsidan såg risig ut men insidan och rummen var något helt annat. Fina nyrenoverade rum med AC. Väldigt trevligt hotell med promenad till trevliga restauranger och parker. Hundar välkomna och lätt att rasta dem runt om i parken bredvid.

Die Zimmer sind abgewohnt und müffeln, gesäubert wird nur oberflächlich, im Sichtbereich unter dem Bett lag eine tote Wanze die nach der Zimmerreiniging noch da lag. Das Frühstück war übersichtlich und das Personal wäre offenbar lieber ganz woanders. Aber das Hotel hat eine schöne Lage, ist gut mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel zu erreichen und nur ein paar Meter vom Luisenpark entfernt.

Okay mit Luft nach oben.

Das Hotel ist wunderbar zentral gelegen aber etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Die Zimmer sind sauber, und charmant, allerdings mangelt es an Details. So haben die Fernseher (Zimmer 523) seit Jahre die alten Programmlisten (ZDF-Kultur, aber kein ZDF-Info), was dazu führt, dass viele Kanäle unbelegt sind. Der Safe funktionierte nicht, was mir aber gleichgültig war. Auch gibt es nur zwei Fahrstühle für ein 5+EG-stöckiges Haus, wovon einer defekt war. Das Personal ist großartig. Sehr motiviert und engagiert und stets freundlich. Schön ist auch der Snack-Shop in der Lobby. Das Frühstück ist sein Geld echt wert, leider ganz ohne Fischiges, aber das ist wohl in der Kurpfalz nicht immer gegeben. Resümme: Okay aber könnte mit wenig Aufwand gut sein.

Gerne wieder

Ich war sehr erkältet und bekam ein anderes Zimmer indem ein Wasserkocher und Kaffeemaschine stand. Netter Service zum gleichen Preis. Die Betten sind sehr gut und die Ausstattung ebenfalls, das Badezimmer ist recht neu. Warum der Toilettenpapierhalter neben dem linken Oberschenkel montiert wurde und damit nicht mehr zugänglich erschliesst sich mir nicht. Das Frühstück ist ausreichend gross. Und es gibt sogar ein paar kostenlose Parkplätze vor dem Gebäude. Insgesamt sieht man dem Hotel einen gewissen Abnutzungsgrad an. Dennoch würde ich es wieder buchen. Nachts allerdings sind Strassengeräusche gut zu hören.

Die Lobby war modern und stylisch. Das Personal an der Rezeption sehr freundlich. Ein Lift war außer Betrieb, das Treppenhaus sehr dreckig und eher Parkhaus -Nottreppe-Style. Das Frühstücksbuffet war reichhaltig und frisch, die Abwicklung des Frühstücks eher etwas chaotisch und die Frühstücksräumlichkeiten sehr laut, allein durch die Architektur.Das Zimmer war sauber, ordentlich und ruhig. Die Betten sehr bequem. Das Bad war eigentlich sauber, außer schwarzer Schimmel in der Duschecke. Die Ausstattung war sehr gut. Wir hatten eine gute Nacht und ein angenehmes Frühstück, allerdings war dieses Hotel nicht 4 Sterne -Klasse.
