We were quite surprised when we arrived because there was no reception at the hotel. There was just a note on the door telling us to drive to another hotel three kilometers away for check-in. When we got there, the staff didn’t speak English, so it was a bit challenging to communicate, but we managed to get our key and drive back to the hotel.
We also found out that several other guests had the same experience and weren’t informed that there would be no reception. On the positive side, the swimming pool was lovely and not crowded at all, so our family had it all to ourselves for about an hour, which we really enjoyed. The room itself was quite dated and old-fashioned, but it was clean and comfortable. One important note is that there didn’t seem to be any fire alarm system or emergency lighting. Lastly, although the breakfast was advertised as included on Hotels.com, it actually wasn’t, but they were kind enough to provide it for us anyway, even though it was served at the other hotel where we checked in and out.
