Terrible experience at this hotel. We had booked a premium sea-view room expecting a quality stay, but nothing about the room or service felt premium. When we arrived late at night, we were not welcomed with drinks or water, which is standard for ICHL hotels. Our original room, 1715, had a bathroom door that hit the toilet and barely opened. The space was small, basic, and certainly not worth 300 CAD. It did not reflect the ICHL brand at all.After complaining, we were moved to another room on the same floor, essentially identical except for the bathroom issue. There was no apology, no assistance with our bags, and definitely no 5-star service. We requested a second key and never received it. Several plugs didn’t work and the bathroom glass cups were stained.At breakfast, when my mother Neetu asked for tea, the server told me to get it myself, even though I saw other servers bringing tea and coffee to guests. Many food items were cold, and fresh pao took over 20 minutes.At checkout, I spoke with the Manager on Duty, Alapan, who apologized, assured me he would address the issues, and offered compensation. We agreed on a complimentary ride and use of the lobby later in the day.When we returned, everything was fine until a staff member named Sonum approached me for leaning on my mother, telling me to “sit up straight,” even though a man nearby had his bare feet up on the table. When I asked for her name, she laughed with colleagues and offered no apology. We will not be returning
