The room was OK. The bed was not great, but we were able to sleep at least. Location and proximity to everything was good.
As for the service, I was lied to upon arrival. Turns out there are smoking and non smoking rooms which I didn't notice when I booked. My mistake. When asking them if any non smoking were available, they said it was all booked and also kept saying something about the only nonsmoking rooms being on the floor with a pool, but still not available, which I didn't understand why that was valid or a thing they were even telling me.
There's no way I'm sleeping in a smoking room with my families allergies, so we were ready to go to another hotel and eat the cost of the room. Then I thought I would try and book a non smoking room at the same hotel. Turns out, a nonsmoking room WAS available and the guys were lying to me. When I brought it up to them, they looked at each other with a face of "Ah crap, the guy figured out we were lying" then agreed to let us stay in the non smoking room if we booked it and then they would cancel for us on the smoking room.
We went ahead with the non smoking room, which was very cramped. The shower was also very difficult for me to use as someone who is 6'4'' tall. If you're tall, you might want to get a different place.
They had humidifiers in the halls, which was super strange, seeing as how Japan is already quite humid.
I don't think we would stay there again.
