You might want to get your camera out and head to Asuka Historical Museum— just one of the landmarks located 1.7 mi (2.7 km) from central Asuka. If you want to experience more of the culture Asuka has to offer, head to Asuka Temple, Nara Prefecture Complex of Man'yo Culture, and Oka-dera Temple.
You can browse the exhibits at Nara Prefecture Complex of Man'yo Culture, a museum with a story of its own, during your travels to Asuka. Wander the parks and gardens while you're in the area.
"We had the 4 twin bed room. It has its own bathroom, shower room, and a large U-shaped lounge area. Overall the room was fantastic, spacious and clean. The location was great too, close to (one of the two) train station and the start of the Nara park.
Would definitely stay there again "
"Excellent property connected to the visitor center. Japanese room is fantastic. Staff are incredibly. Super close to Nara Park, shopping street and station."
"We booked a one night stay for our short trip to Nara. I wish I knew how beautiful this hotel was, I would’ve stayed one more night. The room is well decorated, simple and elegant. It has a sound system that connected to a iPod with music, but I plugged it into my iPhone (lightning port) to play nature music off YouTube. It was rare to find such a spacious room in Japan. The view from the window was everything you’d imagine of Nara: a small pond with deer hanging out on the side. I could stay in this room and relax all day. I would not think twice to book this hotel again when I return to Nara."
"The facilities were very modern and clean, and the staff was very attentive and helpful. We will certainly decide to stay at the JW Marriott Hotel Nara again in the future."
