"Lovely quiet and calming environment. The bed was super comfortable. The pool is unique and lovely. We had a complementary 15 minute head and neck massage.
Some of the furniture is a little tired. Our dining experience could have been improved with full availability on the menu. The food was good though. Overall a lovely experience. "

"Amazing and I was very hesitant to stay here due to the mixed reviews but I am glad I did. Resort was secluded with few guests so the staff waited on us hand & foot. We booked a beautiful couples massage it was amazing. They had a shuttle to take you to Oistins Fish Fry & the beach. We booked excursions so we were on the resort mostly nights. Live music every night and it was incredible. This hotel sits next to Sam Lords Castle very historic and cool to see. Only one complaint- do not stay here...

Imagine strolling along Port St. Charles Marina for some great waterfront pics. It's located 0.7 mi (1.2 km) from central Retreat. Hotels.com travelers also say the area is relaxing and has lots of nice beaches. If you carry on walking you'll get to Heywoods Beach for some more water views.
If being by the water is a major draw, Heywoods Beach is a spot you might want to check out when visiting central Douglas. Enjoy the sunset by the shore at Mullins Beach, Holetown Beach, and Gibbes Beach.
Speightstown Esplanade is worth a visit, located 0.4 mi (0.7 km) from central Douglas. Hotels.com travelers also say the area is full of friendly people and has lots of nice beaches. Want to stretch your legs some more? Head to Folkestone Marine Park and Farley Hill National Park, both nearby.
You can spend an afternoon exploring the galleries in Arlington House Museum during your travels in Speightstown. Wander the beautiful beaches and seaside in the area.
