We enjoyed the Mississippi River Museum/Aquarium and the Dubuque Art Museum. The highlight was the gorgeous Tiffany windows at St. Luke's United Methodist Church. Also Trivia at Dimensional Brewing. Great coffee shops too - esp. Devour and Jitterz.

Even though it was bitter cold, the downtown area was hopping with couples and families out enjoying the events, restaurants, and live music.

I live close to Dubuque and its a great town but be careful of downtown at night. It can get a little dicey on Central Ave after midnight. Dubuque has a little for everyone and small shops all over if you take a walk.

Lovely rollings hills surround this small city in North Eastern Iowa. The properties are clean and well kept, as are the streets. The people are polite and friendly. A lovely overall experience.

Dubuque is a wonderful city on the river. No matter the season, there is always something to do. Perfect for couples or families.
"Love this historical property named after the founder of Dubuque. The hotel has charm, elegance, and my husband and I really enjoyed our stay. We would definitely stay here again!"
"Our weekend stay at The Redstone was wonderful! The spacious room was perfect for two. It was great having the bathroom included with the room. We appreciated the large refrigerator and the snacks left for us to enjoy. The breakfasts, consisting of a hot dish and an amazing assortment of pastries, fruits, cereal and nuts were wonderful. Robert, the owner, was delightful and we loved hearing his stories of the mansion's history. We highly recommend The Redstone and can't wait to stay there again!"
"We had a good stay at this location and we went around the area and went to places. Restaurants and bars and a McDonald's is in walking distance. Pool is a salt water pool and clean. Breakfast was good for being free with the usual stuff like scrambled eggs and sausage or bacon, oatmeal, fruit, cereals etc. Would stay here again no problems at all."
"Beautiful property and a very accommodating host, breakfast was excellent. Don't let the tough exterior deter you, this place is truly a gem. We will gladly return someday."
